Short sight

I was treated two years ago and the vision I have today is the best I ever had. I was shortsighted and mostly used contact lenses to see. It was always difficult when I was swimming in the sea. So I wanted to be free of contact lenses. The treatment lasted a few minutes and there was no pain at all. I was very nervous before it but I could see very clear immediately after the treatment. There was no reason for being nervous before the treatment as the team were really nice to me. After 2 years no one can see that my eyes have been treated including my optician. The cornea is perfect. It was well worth doing the treatment and I am very happy.

Laser eye treatment is something I have always wanted but doubts in the back of my mind held me back. I booked a consultation and from the moment I stepped into the clinic, I was well looked after. I had my consultation with Simon who did a thorough check of my eyes and then went through the procedure if I went ahead. I was not pressured into having it done at all as I have heard some other clinics do. I was told to think about it but decided there and then to go ahead with the treatment.
On the day of the treatment, i was very nervous and was soon put at ease by the surgeon who again was fantastic. I had the treatment done which was pain free and though I was always told this by others never believed it until I had it done. I cant believe that I did not get this done sooner and the best decision I have made in my life.
The results are fantastic, recovery time was a day and then I was back to doing normal day to day activites and my sight, I couldnt believe my eyes but I could actually see. A very bigh thank you to Simon and the team. You were all absolutely superb

The care and attention to detail of the staff is second to none. I am still getting used to the amount of freedom I have in my daily activities no longer needing glasses or contact lenses to correct my myopia. My consultant Vik needs a special shout out for his incredible care, advice, calm nature and huge knowledge, he is simply superb.

After some initial trepidation based on the atmosphere I had experienced at a different company, Accuvision hugely impressed me with a successful procedure that was cheaper and technically superior to what I would have received elsewhere. The surgeon is phenomenally skilful and reassuring, and I have no doubt that they are the best eye surgery company in this country.

Original prescription: Right eye: -4.00D with 0.50D astigmatism Left eye: -1.75D with -2.00D astigmatism.
After consultations with other providers I was disillusioned as it seemed eye surgery was a marketing exercise! After looking to see what else was available further afield we found Accuvision. The difference was evident from first walking into the waiting room – professional, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Unlike other clinics where surgery type had been left to me to decide based on the cost, some clear guidance was given – with an explanation why. The ‘signing up’ part wasn’t pressured, the cost was the same as elsewhere, (without ‘this week only’ special offers) and there was a range of surgery dates.
The surgery itself was quick, painless and with a lot of reassurance when nerves were evident! The aftercare was also good. Accuvision was well worth traveling a little further for – the service and experience are head and shoulders above the mainstream providers. My vision is better now than it was with contact lenses and I’d recommend Accuvision to anyone considering laser eye surgery.

I’d been short-sighted for 30 plus years, wearing contact lenses for over 25 years of those. I also had astigmatism in both eyes which meant I was only able to have a certain type of lens. I looked into laser eye surgery about 10 years ago at other clinics, but for my prescription it wasn’t viable, (-5.75 with -3.50 astigmatism and -5.75 with -3.00 astigmatism). Based on a recommendation from my boyfriend, David, who had laser eye surgery at Accuvision in Fulham 3 years ago, I went along for a free consultation. To my amazement I was told that I was suitable for surgery. It’s now a week since my treatment and my vision is already better than it was with toric lenses – and it will get even better in the next 4-6 weeks. My eyes have healed extremely well (I was obsessive about the eye drops) and the results are far better than expected. The people at Accuvision made me feel at ease from the moment I got here – I cannot recommend the people and technology enough. Thank You!
