I thought the pricing, treatment, information, general care and after-care at Accuvision was absolutely fantastic! I have been urging people to give Accuvision a call whenever they mention considering laser treatment.

For something that can be quite intense, all the staff were so caring and understanding. They totally get how it feels to be able to chuck your glasses away – they even have a bin for just that! The cost was much lower than other clinics – who had left me feeling that it was all about how much they could charge me rather than what treatment I should actually be having.

Accuvision were informative at all times about what I should have, why and why I wasn’t having another type of treatment. The care was fantastic – with staff holding my hand throughout!

I cannot praise Accuvision enough and I am so glad I chose their clinic over others!

Prior to the surgery I was given support and positive messages from the Accuvision team. However as good as this was what impressed me most was the nature of the surgeons. Spotting that I didn’t seem as comfortable with the second eye as the first he took a pause and offered me words of support.

Post surgery recovery has gone without issue. Vision is now better than 20/20 and I’m very pleased.

Thankyou to all at the accuvision team

I did a lot of research into different companies in my area ( Midlands ) and also read a lot of reviews on this website. I found the larger companies quite impersonal and persistent which put me off and I wasn’t lured by their offers. I originally went to Accuvision for a consultation in July 2007. I was seen by Nick Dash who did various tests and explained that I had thin corneas so needed Trans-Epi treatment which he explained with the risks involved and that the recovery time would be longer. I found Nick and the staff at the Solihull Clinic very professional and decided not to go to any other clinics. It took me several months for me to take the plunge, after a lot of thinking and with no pressure from Accuvision. I made an appointment in March to have my surgery in April.

On the day, I had a few more test to make sure there were no changes as it had been a while since the consultation. Everyone was very helpful (Nick, Vic & Surgeon) and reassuring. The surgery was amazingly quick and pain free. My eyes were checked before I could leave. I was given eye drops to put in regularly and painkillers. The first 48 hours my eyes were very sensitive so I had to wear sunglasses in the house and they took a few days to settle. The first 24 hours were the worst as they were watery and very painful. The eye drops really helped and I put them in religiously! I had a 24 hour, week, month and now a 3 month check. Within a week I could see very clearly but remembered what Nick said that in time my vision would improve even more. After my visiti in August, Nick told me my eyes were now better than 20:20 vision – 133% 🙂 I was shown images of my eyes, before and after. I could see that the irregularities in my corneal shape had been improved giving me better quality of vision.

I have already recommended Accuvision to several people and I would not want my eyes in anyone else’s hands!

My advice is not to expect clear vision in 24 hours!

I had trans-epithelial surgery about 3 weeks and was told tolday that my sight is better than 20:20 vision! I would recommend it without a doubt.

I had the trans-epithelial surgery due to a thin cornea and this treatment was suggested as a safer option. At all consultations the staff were calm and patient and coherent with their explanations and I felt reassured throughout. All risks were explained and at no time did I feel pressure to go ahead with the surgery.
The procedure itself was insignificant as it was so quick and painfree. The only strange feeling was having myeye wide open with lots of lights in front of me.
Being honest I found that post-surgery it was extremely painful. I could not sleep for the first two nights and had difficulty opening my eyes for the first 24-36 hours. However, the pain subsides after approx 36 hours and although my vision was initially blurry and quite out of focus it was better than usual. My bandage contact lenses were taken out 5 days later and my vision went slightly worse againm whcich is expected when the lenses come out but now I have perfect vision with no glasses or contact lenses and healing well. The team are supportive and are there whenever you need them.
My only regret is that I didn’t have it done years ago!

From the moment we arrived into the clinic we were met with warm and friendly staff. The first assessment was short and the examination enabled us to find out if laser surgery was possible. The assessment was thoroughly done and an explanation was given at the end to tell us about the condition of our eyes. Next, surgery. Well I was feeling anxious, nervous, first thoughts were surgery would take a long time however I was wrong. The actual treatment took 6 minutes per eye and the clinical team made me feel safe and I was talked to throughout to ease my tension. I didn’t even realise the surgery was done but this was all pain free. That day felt strange not having to wear glasses but after resting them the following day I was back to normal. I have to say, laser surgery is the best investment I have made and has made my life so much easier. I would definately recommend Accuvision for their professional standards in eye surgery. From the moment I stepped into the clinic, I felt a great sense of warmth and comfort from the Accuvision Team. With regards to the eye exam, everything was explained thoroughly and I was not at all rushed through. Afterwards, during the surgery, I was immediately calmed down by the surgeons and their excellent techniques by constant communicating and reassurance that all was going well. The entire staff were very helpful and took care of me immediately. I did not feel as if I was waiting around. I highly recommend Accuvision to others as their experience has changed my life. The aftercare is constant and makes me feel reassured that my eyes are in good health. This company is extremely friendly and professional and should be the 1st option when looking for a consultation.

These guys were fantastic, from start to finish. they don’t push the ‘hard sell’ and explain everything very thoroughly to you. After my free consultation, it didn’t take me long to decide to use these guys, but even then they recommended that I went home and sleep on it.

Sure, this isn”t the cheapest option, but these are my eyes we’re talking about!! I wouldn’t want anything but the best for them, and these guys were great.

I was very nervous in surgery, but I needn’t have been because not only were Accuvision very professional, they were also very reassuring. I went into surgery, and even though I hadn’t been able to see without glasses for 14 years, I walked out with slightly fuzzy, but actually able to see!!! Within 24 hours the fuzziness cleared when i went back a week later I had better than 20/20 vision.

Now, 3 months after my op, my vision is still excellent, still better than 20/20, and I couldn’t be more delighted! Thank you Accuvision!

Its been over 2 years now and I am still pleased with my sight. I was told before my treatment that i might develop glaucoma as I am long sighted and had a very narrow angle in one eye. Well tomorrow i am having laser treatment for acute closed angle glaucoma. My sister has had this treatment for her glaucoma and it did not work so she has had her lens replaced in both eyes. So fingers crossed my laser works for me tomorrow. Any way thanks to Joan and Brett Halliday for all the help I received. (I had all the same scans at Ultralase weeks before Accuvision and they never picked up my narrow angles)

I had laser surgery around 16 months ago at Accuvision, Solihull and I have had excellent results. I decided to go for laser surgery as I was starting to struggle with contact lenses as I was finding them uncomfortable and dry. Also glasses were giving me headaches and I just didn’t like wearing them.

I first went for a consultation at Optimax as it’s widely advertised. On looking at my prescription (-7 and -8 with astigmatism), the consultant immediately said that I would not be able to have laser surgery as it would require removal of more cornea than what I have, to achieve the results of 20/20 vision. He told me that the only other option would be to have an implanted lens (Intra-ocular lens). Also, if I were to go to any other clinic, they would only agree to the surgery as they were eager for my business, regardless of the outcome and consequences. I was extremely disappointed when I heard this, thinking that I would always need glasses or contact lens.

A few months later, a friend recommended that I try Accuvision, after all I had nothing to lose. I went for my consultation with Vikash and he was excellent. He told me that I was able to have the surgery and I had plenty of cornea. The reason why other clinics may not offer maybe because of the variation in equipment which is used. Vikash explained the procedure and the risks and clearly set my expectations.

I had the surgery the following month (due to the Christmas break. The surgery itself was nerve wracking, but the nurses and the surgeon were wonderful. The nurse had a little chat with me to ensure that I was relaxed and reassured me that the procedure was painless. During surgery, the nurse constantly checked that I was OK and the surgeon kept me updated on what he was doing next. After surgery, they put in some protective contact lenses and I went back to the waiting area to sit quietly until my post operation check up. During my check up, they found a tiny speck in one of my eyes and they were extremely worried. They asked the surgeon and a couple of consultants for further opinions. The conclusion was that is was harmless and was just some suspension in the fluid, but they didn’t want to risk infection, so they swished out my eye and replaced the lens. They were extremely professional and told me everything that they were considering and at no point was I worried. They have very high standards and do not wish to risk infection. The eye was perfectly fine after this, and I had no infection.

After the check up the following day, I was given some artificial tears drops, unfortunately I had a reaction to them. I phoned up the clinic straight away and they were wonderful and offered that I see them the following day. They again took all this in their stride and gave me some different drops which were fine.

Overall, my experience was not standard, but with a couple of tiny complications. But this highlights that the team were wonderful and with their knowledge and expertise, they were able to resolve any problems quickly without causing any discomfort to the patient.

My vision is now 20/20 and from a prescription of -7 and -8 with astigmatism, I now have around -0.5 in each eye. It’s an amazing achievement and I never thought that I would ever be rid of my glasses.

I have been for my one year check up, but Nick has offered that I return for another check up six months later. This again highlights how professional and responsible the Accuvision team is. I would definitely recommend Accuvision to anyone who is considering Laser eye surgery.

Thank you to everyone at Accuvision!
