Extremely professional, personable, caring service from the entire team. I can’t fault it one bit. I had a small problem with the flap not settling properly but the team dealt with it wonderfully and made sure everything was fine. My eyesight is absolutely amazing (from -3.75 in each eye) and I just can’t believe I’ve taken this long to get around to it.

No hesitation recommending them whatsoever. Go for it! 🙂

I had my surgery in October so am now 5 months post op.
What can I say- a miracle has occurred!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was shortsighted with a prescription of -2.5 and -4.25. All my life I had struggled to wear contact lenses as found them so uncomfortable.

My friend Nicole had recommended the clinic to me so very nrevously I went along for the consultation. What a lovely experence, the staff were amazing. The operation was so very quick and easy, no pain involved, all in the mind.

I could see that evening with only slight blurring. Upon my six week check i was actually discharged as they were so pleased with me, I now have better than 20/20 vision.

The aftercare is fantastic- I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough, and at such an amazing price.

Thanks to Chad who looked after me – always made me feel like I was the only patient in the world, haha.

Anyone who is considering going elsewhere all I ask is that you have your free consultation here first.

GO FOR IT ………………………………….

It’s a very scary thing to put your sight into the hands of someone. Accuvision were amazing, they are all so friendly, professional, listen to everything you have to say and are absolutely honest with their replies.

For me, it was very uncomfortable in the prep work for the surgery (Never worn contacts or put eye drops in so really didn’t like someone playing with my eyes) but the operating team were patient, reassuring, and just amazing… before I knew it I was back walking in the sunshine and able to see the world in all its detail.

I would totally recommend Accuvision to anyone (Already have recommended them to 3 friends and 1 family member)… For Accuvision its science, technology, professionalism, for me it’s magic…. Thanks to the team at Accuvision I can see…. I dont think I could put a price on the difference its made for me.

I have been contemplating having surgery since 2003, but was never in a financial or indeed time position to have it done. I arranged the assessment etc whilst abroad without any problems and I took out my soft lenses on 11th of December and was blind as a bat for 7 days.

On the day of the race, after a 3 hour drive from Devon, I met up with a number of surgeons who took a very personal approach to my compatibility, feelings and concerns and I have to say that I felt very at ease after all the examinations had been carried out and then went into the surgery for my treatment.

From lying down on the couch to both my eyes being treated (bi-lateral wafefront astigmatism), to standing up post-treatment, took no more than 10 minutes. The laser surgery itself is painless, although the preparation is uncomfortable but it is a small price to pay for the sight that I now have. (In excess of 20/20), when my right eye before surgery was +5.25!!

Thoroughly satisfied and would recommend a consultation to anybody.

Seeing really is believing.
It’s now many weeks since my procedure and I’m still amazed. My sister, with glasses so thick…, went for examination. Her cornea were thick enough but Accuvision discovered cataracts in both eyes and recommended cataract surgery with corrective lens inplants. She decided to go ahead. Two visits to the superb Accuvision surgeon with a fortnight between and this pensioner who had worn ever thicker glasses since being a very little girl was knitting, sewing and reading with no problem.
So brother and sister can now enjoy good eyesight and have put all their glasses in the bin at the Solihull clinic.
Anthony will always be regarded more as a valued friend than a great optician who works with an amazing team of people.
I was at Solihull yesterday to take my sister for a check-up. Anthony was delighted because her results were even better than he has suggested possible.
The great thing is that he doesn’t make wild promises about possible outcomes.
There was a young man waiting for the laser procedure and he was more than a little nervous. Just before going in with my sister for her check-up, I told him what a great experience I had had and said that all he had to do was follow the team’s every instruction and he would be fine.
When we came out of the examining room, back to the reception area, there he was. He had had the job done and was full of excitement. I had to remind him to follow the instruction to keep his eyes shut as much as possible till he went to bed. He just grinned and said he would but that he couldn’t wait to enjoy his new found good sight.
As I’m writing this I know he will have been back for the follow-up and removal of the contact lens type bandages and he is doing what I did… Wow I couldn’t see that before… Wow I can read that… Wow, seeing really is believing.
Thanks again Anthony, thanks again Accuvision

had Wavefront Lasik treatment at Accuvision on the 17th of October. My prescription was quite small, mostly astigmatism.

Re: +0.25 / -1.50
Le: 0.00 / -1.50

I used to suffer from migraine headaches at school as no-one diagnosed my eye sight as a potential cause. Even then, I had multiple prescription changes between optical providers and rather lost confidence in the opticians who saw me. Contact lenses have never been on the cards as I could not bear to go near my eyes, let alone have pieces of plastic in them. I had become quite comfortable with my glasses but they made life difficult in some areas such as photography, golf, kite surfing, rugby etc.

I had been associated with laser vision correction for many years as my brother worked in the industry. He had worked at other clinics prior to Accuvision but never felt completely comfortable in having anyone treat me until now. After he had been there for a while he felt that I was going to be in safe hands, not only for the procedure, but if anything were to go wrong I could be safe in the knowledge that Accuvision would look after me.

Treatment itself was supposed to be quite simple, I was told told exactly what to expect so I should have been fine. Nevertheless, after they had finished treating my first eye, I went rather pale and clammy and they decided to give me a few minutes to relax and calm down before proceeding with the second eye. Not that I had any reason to be nervous, there was no pain although some discomfort when they applied suction to the eye to cut the flap. Second eye went fine largely due to the fact that I knew what was coming. Not being in control is what made me apprehensive I think, all in the head. Treatment was quick – given that I took a 5 minute rest, I was in theatre for no more than 15 minutes.

Vision recovered very quickly, quite foggy afterwards – but through the fog I could read the scrolling news bar at the bottom of their television when I came out of theatre. Anyone who has astigmatism can appreciate how your vision blurs when trying to read or see definition. I took the drops as instructed and got on with my life quite comfortably. I was advised not to cycle to work for the first week or go to the gym etc, but am back to doing things as before. I was advised that due to my large pupils etc, that there was a risk my night vision might suffer initially. I have had no such issues during these dark evenings while cycling home.

The one area of my life where I have always had to compromise is photography and wildlife observation. I found it impossible to get a good level of clarity through a pair of binoculars with glasses on and so did without. A week after surgery I went bird-watching in the New Forest, it was only at this stage that I realised how my colleagues were able to see so much more definition than I could.

Neurovision for Amblyopia (lazy eye)

I have two children who unfortunately have bilateral amblyopia. This was only made apparent to me when my eldest child failed his driving test as he could not read the number plate even with his glasses. Kieran the eldest had aided visual acuity of right eye 6/12 with myopia of -1.25 and his left eye was 6/18 also with myopia of -1.25. I researched amblyopia and thought that nothing could be done. Being unable to drive is a disadvantage for work and social reasons. I eventually read about Neurovision and honestly was a bit sceptical as my son had been referred to southend opthamology unit and again we were told that he had to make the best of what eyesight he had. Then I telephoned Accuvision and spoke to one of the optometrists there. No pressure was given to book an appointment, he just gave me an overview of the treatment. Having spoken to my husband about the treatment I decided to make an appointment which was in early September. Again all the staff were very welcoming and performed many tests on Kierans eyes and confirmed the above prescription. We started the treatment which is done every other day and lasts about 20 minutes. I have to say the treatment is very intense and did give my son headaches, but he kept going. We are just over halfway through treatment on his right eye and to our relief his aided visual acuity is now 6/7.5 and his presciption for myopia has decreased to -0.75. We are really pleased with the result. When he has completed his right eye we will certainly start on his left eye. We also took our youngest son there this month and treatment will hopefully start soon for his right eye.
There are no guarantees for this treatment but from our limited experience from this condition it is really worth investigating. I shall probably post again when we have further results from out two boys. I would just like to thank Mr Patel for all the help and support he has given to Kieran.

I just wanted to thank all you staff at the Solihull clinic for the outstanding service that I have received at every single stage of my experience of laser eye surgery, from consultation to after care.

I had a further 2 consultations with Optical Express (who were appalling) and Optimax (who did not fare much better), and I wanted you to know that your company have got the whole package absolutely perfect. I never once felt rushed or under any pressure and the staff at Solihull made me feel that they were privileged to be able to treat me.

I had to go for the treatment on my own yesterday and the staff really looked after me the whole time I was there. They even took the time to tell me that they were running a little behind, which in total was about 20 minutes but I didn’t really notice.

I was very nervous when it came to the treatment, and one of the staff even held my hand the whole way through, which was wonderful. They were all calm and made me feel more at ease as the whole process took place. I did not find the experience of the surgery at all unpleasant, just totally surreal, and following the treatment I did everything they told me to and today I have been told my sight is good enough for me to drive – it is amazing !!!

I want to congratulate you on having such a wonderful team at Solihull and clearly having the correct ethos when it comes to treating people using laser eye surgery. Our sight is a very precious gift and to put it in someone else’s hands is a very difficult decision to make, I am so glad that I decided to put my faith in your company.

If you have any kind of team/staff recognition scheme I want to recommend everyone at Solihull from the receptionist to the surgeon – they were all outstanding and deserve to be recognised for this.

I will not hesitate in recommending your company to everyone I know who is considering treatment, I have also placed some feedback on the Lasik-eyes website.

Thank you so much for the world class treatment I have received, your company is a shining example of how customer service can make a real difference.
