My profile – age 52 prescription +5.5 in each eye to correct normal vision & reading +7.5 in each eye. The rationale for corrective treatment was simple I had tried varifocals and found these dangerous, so was using 2 sets of spectacles one for day to day use and one for reading. This impacted my life i.e giving presentations at work was difficult not seeing the screen when reading my notes and vice versa, having to inter change glasses.
Like many others thought maybe I was too old or too long-sighted to be treated, spent 6 months thinking about laser treatment, hours surfing the net looking at forums some good ones but including some real horror stories.
So took the plunge and met the team in London for my consultation, yes a team they all worked together and were very professional. The comprehensive examination confirmed my suitability for 2 possible options, lens implant or laser treatment and at this stage Daryus entered the picture and carefully guided me through the decision process. There was no pressure at all.
Surgery took place on 16/04/2009, the team were very professional at reassuring the patient, can honestly say I felt no pain just a degree of uncomfort as it’s not everyday someone is fiddling with your eyes, so no surprise. I was talked through the procedure and a nice touch was someone held my hand throughout.
As I sat up after the procedure, the surgeon asked if I could see the clock on the wall…yes… I could even tell the time and before surgery I couldn’t.
For convenience I stayed at a hotel overnight, a mere 5 minutes by taxi, went to the room closed the blackout blinds, some interesting sensations in both eyes and adhered to the hourly drop prescription. Went back the next day to have the bandage contact lenses removed and an examination of the eyes, everything was fine.
The period of healing was almost exactly what the team had carefully explained, the first month was difficult and it was important to pace the number of hours in front of the computer or reading/writing emails/sms on the mobile but slowly day by day the vision become clearer and I have 20/20 vision.
From a practical perspective there has been a quantum change in my life…I can see unaided without spectacles….so anyone considering eye correctional treatment should put Accuvision at the top of the list and my sincere thanks to the team for the professionalism and personal touch.

I would recommend AccuVision to all my family and friends. The laser eye surgery treatment and the level of service which I received was of the highest quality. I attended the Surgery alone and the team did everything they could to make me feel reassured and calm. I am so pleased that I had laser eye surgery with AccuVision, the only thing I regret is not having it done sooner!

If anyone is considering laser eye Surgery I would really recommended that you have a consultation because once you meet the team and see the faculties you will be asking when the next free Surgery Appointment is available!

The price was also very reasonable, I have spoken to people who had Surgery at other clinics who claim to be cheaper, but once they had paid everything it was the same price as AccuVision but they had received far poorer service using lower levels of laser technology for the same price.

I am really enthusiastic about AccuVision and am so pleased that I choose them and had the laser eye surgery. 10 minutes after the surgery I noticed a difference and over the last 2 weeks my eye sight has got better and better!

Following Monovision treatment, I can now read small print without the use of glasses. The treament I received was worth every penny.

I was very nervous about my laser eye treatment and had been putting off coming for a consultation.

However, as soon as I was through the door, my initial fears subsided, as I felt I was really being taken care of. I was given a thorough examination with straightforward explanations following, giving me all the information I needed to feel comfortable with the procedure.

On the day of the laser eye surgery the level of care I received was superb, and after care reassurance was very much appreciated. Now when I look back on the last twenty years of wearing contact lenses, I must have been MAD. Being able to see perfectly is worth every penny spent with the great team at Accuvision.

I am a Keratoconus patient with Accuvision and have had the C3-R (Cross-linking) treatment done this year. I now have much more accurate sight with my glasses and have been told that I will be able to wear soft lenses very soon. The treatment offered is second to none and the staff are friendly. I will be honest and admit that there is some pain after the treatment but it is bearable and definately worth it. The cost of the treatment is not cheap but lets be honest sight is not something you can really put a price on. Hopefully the great service will continue and more people will be treated with success because what Accuvision do is really amazing. Thanks!

Having laser eye surgery on my eyes was something that felt inevitable to me at some point in my life. After having completed my degree at uni in May this year, I felt I had to take the opportunity and start looking for a clinic. I read lots of forums online and everywhere Accuvision came on top in terms of price, technology and best surgeons. What I personally like about Accuvision is that there are only 3 clinics in the country, therefore there are only a handful of surgeons carrying out all the surgeries. So very experienced.

I had my consultation with Mrs ??? Griffiths at the Fulham branch. She was very nice and professional, with a constant smile on her face. My sight was not too bad at -3.00 and -3.75 and I was given a quote of £1900. Following this I was given a handout with the 2 surgeons CVs which was very reassuring, being able to read about their careers and I opted for Chad Roston who is the most experienced (although both were more than good enough).

I was worried about sideffects as my pupils are slightly bigger than normal but the operation went really well, less than 10 minutes, having said that it was probably the longest 10 minutes of my life. It was not painful at all, only uncomfortable and slightly irritating at times as you feel the need to blink but can’t. The following 24 hours were a drag, I tried to keep my eyes shut as much as possible. Check up next day and my sight was not 100% perfect but spot on target. The next few days, I suffered from blurriness on my left eye which is absolutely normal. That went away within the next 48 hours and my sight has been better than 100% since. It feels amazing, as if I’ve never had weak eyes.

The only critique I have is one of the receptionist is impatient and slightly rude. I’m a very easygoing person but felt even with the few questions I had on the phone, she was very short coming and definitely lacked a smile in her voice. I understand she has to answer the same questions day in day out but it is a big deal for us who are having the operation so absolutely necessary. Furthermore, I booked my operation just over a week before the actual day however I didn’t receive my information pack until 2 days before the day of the surgery.But for the things that really matter including the ophthalmologists, surgeons, technology and price they get a 5 from me as they ticked every box. I would definitely recommend this clinic. In fact my sister is the next one to get her eyes done and she’s going for Accuvision too.

I needed glasses for reading which meant they were on my face the whole time at work but this meant I couldn’t see the features of people coming towards me until they were there so if anyone smiled I wouldn’t know, alternatively I could look over my glasses ,either way not a very friendly look!

Shopping was a nightmare as I couldn’t see sell by dates, nutrition values, prices, sizes etc.. so it was in and out of my bag the whole time for my glasses – ok if you didn’t already have your hands full.

I had glasses for reading but thev had started to get a little less sharp so I used 1.5 over the counter for this but then i needed my reading glasses to check the listings magazine.

The result was amazing and when you try your glasses they are like putting your grandmas on when you were a child – they are just too strong for you.
I now have 20/20 vision and don’t look so stern to people who are trying to be friendly.

I can’t recommend Accuvision enough for their friendly staff, professional approach and after-care. They explained everything at every step and made me feel very confident in them ,which helped me relax and made the whole procedure a pleasure.

If you are considering laser treatment I would suggest an appointment to assess your suitability as it costs you nothing and you will receive the most thorough eye exam you have ever had.

Had monovision laser eye treatment at Wetherby clinic on Saturday lunchtime. Sunday morning had the protective lens removed and went home to read Sunday newspapers!! By the end of the night, I was able to read extremely small print on the back of a spray can.

I had my treatment on Friday 9th October 2009. I was very nervous. I needn’t have been. Just before I went into my treatment, I was fortunate enough to talk to a woman who had the treatment a few months earlier, and was visiting for a check-up. Talking to her put my mind at rest and once I decided to put myself in the hands of the experts, I relaxed. The time was approximately 3.30pm. The treatment lasted 1.14 minutes for the right eye and 1.20 minutes for the left. There was absolutely no pain and a nurse held my hand thoughout. Actually, it was quite an amazing laser light show!! I left the clinic within about 45 minutes and went to a hotel with my husband. I lay on the bed for a while with my eyes closed, as they were watering, although not painful. By 6pm I was bored and hungry so put some make-up on (not around my eyes) and we walked 15 minutes to a great restaurant near Chelsea Harbour. There was a halo around all the lights, but other than that, I could see amazingly well. We had a lovely meal, (Felicity Kendalll was sitting opposite us and I could actually see her beautiful skin with no glasses and no contacts). We walked back to the hotel and watched a programme on television before falling asleep. I thought I had come to London for treatment and that I would be incapacitated for the majority of the time. But we had a really lovely evening. In the morning we went back for a check-up. My eyes had healed well and the contact lense bandages were removed. I am amazed at my own recovery and how well I could see. I have had monovision and understand that it may well take a few weeks to get used to the under correction in my right eye. All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks to all the Team.
