I would Highly recommend Accuvision laser surgery to anyone wishing to ditch the glasses and lenses. I had the laser eye surgery in October 2008 and would never look back now, thanks to the great advice from Simon Falk at the Leeds clinic and surgeons at the Birmingham clinic where I originally had the surgery.

Having been exceptionally shortsighted for all of my life and more recently having developed a reading prescription, I consulted Accuvision for laser eye surgery as the result of a recommendation by my ophthalmologist.

I was treated with care and as an individual right from the start and all of the fears and concerns I had were allayed by the team.

I had the procedure known as Monovision and it has been wonderful. The results are even better than I’d hoped for and I feel that I have been give a new life. I would thoroughly recommend Accuvision to anyone considering laser eye surgery, it is the best investment I’ve ever made.

Like everyone else I did my research and I narrowed it down to two places, one is close to where I live and the other was of course Accuvision and the reason I chose Accuvision is because of the fifty odd pages from an independent car web site forum, and people there could not rate them highly enough
So I went for the consultation on the Wednesday and the treatment on the Friday. It was all over with in ten minutes. There was no pain during or after the treatment, in fact apart from being able to see, my eyes do not feel any different. I was sitting in a restaurant an hour later reading a menu, something I haven’t done in years without glasses.
The team in London were absolutely fantastic from the time I walked in, until the time I left and I was told if I had any problems, just call no matter what time it is. You can’t get better than that!

I had been considering Laser surgery for years, done hours of research online and visited Optimax & Optical Express before contacting Accuvision at Wetherby. My prescription was -5.75 and -6.00 and I have slightly thin corneas which caused problems for Optimax & Optical Express.
I spoke to Simon at Wetherby, and had a consultation, he talked me through the process, explained why having thinner corneas could cause problems, and how Accuvision’s laser, being faster and more accurate than the other’s, could cope with my needs. That was it, no pressure, no ‘book now and you’ll get a good price’ simply what I wanted to know, when I wanted to know it. I booked my surgery date, and continued to bombard Simon with e-mail questions for the 3 weeks between my consultation and surgery date (yesterday (30th June) @ 9am!). All my questions were answered the same day so, by the time my surgery came round, I had no nerves or apprehension at all!!
I met Prashant and Daryus, my surgery team on the day, both of whom made me feel relaxed and at home.
The surgery took less than 10 minutes, NO PAIN AT ALL!!! and when I got off the bed I could see!!!! It was a bit like being under water, but I could read the clock on the wall!!!!
I went home, rested, put my eye drops in as instructed and by 7pm could see very clearly (in fact I annoyed my wife because I was reading car number plates and signs as we went for a little walk!)
I can’t praise and recommend Accuvision @ Wetherby highly enough, from the lovely Kim on reception, to Simon who’ll answer any question and put your mind at rest, to the surgical team, who’ll talk you through the procedure and make you feel so comfortable.
All I can say is go and talk to them, compare with others if you want, I did, but without doubt, you’ll go back to Accuvision for the treatment.

I had the idea of laser eye treatment in the back of my mind for several years, but got to the point where I was so fed up of wearing glasses that I decided to go for it.

I did a lot of research online and had several consultations, and Accuvision appeared very professional, skilled, and caring.

They took such care to check that I was suitable, to ensure my risk was minimal. I was very scared on the day of the laser eye surgery, but they were so kind and put me at ease, and it was the best thing I have ever done. One year later I have perfect vision, and every day I think about how great it is not to wear glasses.

I recommend it to everyone I speak to!

After 25 years of wearing glasses and contact lenses then varifocals i went to Acuvision last Tuesday 12th Jan 2010 and after 4/5 minutes of painless procedure i could see and read the small print of the book given to me and the registrations on the cars in front of us coming home it was truly and utterly amazing I cannot emphasize how i felt, like a new person.

FABULOUS. I have gone back today the 19th jan for my weekly check up and have been told I have 20/20 vision which I have not had for years and years, thank you Accuvision. The staff are wonderful, so polite and care for you and not the money side which is a breath of fresh air.

It was time to update my glasses which I did every two years when I saw an advertisement in the Excelle magazine for eye laser surgery treatment by Accuvision. I made an appointment and was very impressed with the quality of the people, the equipment and the concept of laser eye surgery.

Despite some initial apprehension about eyes and lasers I decided to go ahead. The painless effective therapy I received was just what Accuvision had said it would be. I have clear vision without glasses or contact lenses.

I am still amazed that I could see almost at once and the follow up meeting next day cleared the contact lens bandages and my vision was perfect. I am telling everyone about my experience so that they may benefit as I have done. Thank you Accuvision, well done.

I will be honest, I would only have had my eyes treated at Accuvision, because my husband Simon is the Optometrist and clinic manager in Wetherby. At first I wasn’t going to post a testimonial. But now 3 months on, I cannot describe how good things are without my glasses and contact lenses. On holiday i could swim without fuss, i can see the alarm clock at night, all the things people who don’t wear correction, so take for granted.
But the thing I feel I must stress is that I was treated NO differently to any other patient on surgery day, despite being known to everyone. The treatment is painless, quick and recovery was amazing.
I was -5.50 with some astigmatism. The fact that everyone at Accuvision is prepared to treat their loved ones really does speak volumes for the technology and confidence in their abilities.
I never doubted for one moment it wouldn’t be successful, but I have been amazed at just how good it is!
