Comments: After having laser eye surgery in the middle of January, it’s finally just clicked that no, I haven’t left my contact lenses in overnight, I really can now see my bedroom when I wake up in the morning!

The procedure itself was a bit of a daunting 10 minutes or so, and then my eyes stung for around 20 minutes afterwards. Apart from that though, I’ve had absolutely no discomfort and within 24 hours, I could see that my vision was massively improved.

One week later, the optometrist at the clinic told me that I have perfect eyesight (bar a negligible -0.12), so it feels like one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

Comments: From birth I had bad eyesight and had to wear very thick and unflattering glasses all through school. My prescription for my eyes were -9.00 and -10.00. When I got to 16 I started to wear contact lenses, which were great, but also expensive because of the high prescription, and the various care solutions. It also still meant that I was almost blind before and after having lenses in.
So I looked into laser surgery and went to the usual high street opticians. One company offered to try, if I was prepared to travel, and stay over in London or Manchester, but most said my eyes were too bad and suggested permanent fitted lenses. Then a friend of my husbands recommended Accuvision. I was immediately impressed by the standard of customer care and consideration on my first consultation. I was assured that they could repair my eyes, but it was recommended that I try some different contact lenses which could improve years of damage caused by my other lenses. They were correct, at further consultations my eyes, although still poor, actually got better and better.
Finally the improvement settled and I was ready for the surgery, which would now be less severe than initially diagnosed. I had the whole procedure explained fully to me, including what could possibly go wrong, before I finally consented to the procedure.
My hand was literally held at times all the way through the procedure, and all the staff I came into contact with, both during and after the procedure, were courteous, helpful, reassuring and considerate, and always willing to explain fully everything that was going on. My treatment was a resounding success and I have perfect 20 : 20 vision!!!!!
I write this almost a year after my procedure and just before the last of my regular post operation consultations. When your operation is done you are not forgotten by Accuvision, they see you regularly and they are always at the end of the phone if you have any concerns or worries.

Comments: On December 8th & 22nd 2011 I had intra ocular lens transplants. I went through a long process before getting to this point over a year of consideration and looking at two other companies. It wasn’t until I met Vikash Patel at Fulham that I got the consultation, reassurance, and advice that I needed. Comments: I’m absolutely thrilled with the results! I had surgery at the Wetherby clinic on 5th Oct 2011 and really cannot fault the excellent level of service and after care I received. I was -4.0 in both eyes and now have 20:20 vision. I can honestly say the procedure itself was extremely quick and painless. The only minor discomfort I felt was slight stinging immediately afterwards but this is honestly no worse than the feeling when chopping onions!! Totally worth the money for something so life changing! Thanks to everyone at Wetherby clinic!

Review : Like many others who have posted here before, I had been considering having surgery for many years. This year I am pleased to say that I finally decided to do something about it and find out if I was suitable. I had increasingly found wearing contact lenses uncomfortable and desperately needed a new pair of glasses and, having a prescription of -8.75 with astigmatism, resented the thought of the expense this would entail. Having read many positive stories I decided that Accuvision would be the best place to try.
I attended my consultation in September with an open mind and was quite prepared to be told that nothing could be done. I was delighted to find out that my eyes were suitable for surgery and that I should expect a good outcome from it even though there was a chance that I would be left with a small residual prescription. My surgery was booked the next day for the end of October. Everything went according to plan and the procedure really was over so quickly with only minor discomfort.. My check up the next day was positive and by my one week follow up my vision was as good as it had been with glasses beforehand with a promise that with further healing it should get better still. I did not expect a miraculous recovery and my vision certainly fluctuated during that first week. Personally I would not have been happy to have been at work for that first week but I would say that after 2 weeks my vision felt perfectly stable. There is still some night vision ‘interference’ but I feel quite comfortable driving in the dark. I do not find this to be any worse than driving at night whilst wearing my glasses or having worn contact lenses all day.
My overall experience at Accuvision was excellent. I had read how professional and friendly the team are and found this to be totally true. I never felt under any pressure to go ahead with surgery and that my welfare was the priority. I hope I haven’t rambled on too long here but to be able to see properly without glasses or lenses having relied upon them for nearly 40 years is a revelation. I can particularly appreciate my new vision on such a wonderful clear sunny day here today.
If you are thinking of having this procedure I would thoroughly recommend Accuvision. This was a big decision for me to make and I am so pleased that I went for it.

I had my surgery on 14/12/11. That day my life changed forever.

I was severally short sighted. -9.25 in my right eye and -11.00 in my left eye both with astigmatism. I went for my consultation and they explained I could have laser surgery and what they were aiming for. I wasn’t expecting 20:20 vision due to my poor sight just being able to see the alarm clock would be fine with me.

Accuvision was my last hope having been refused by two previous clinics due to having a thin cornea in my left eye and large pupils when it is dark.

3 weeks after my consultation I was booked in for surgery.

I have this week been for my weekly follow up appointment to be told I have nearly 20:20 vision. I don’t even need glasses for driving which is what was mentioned at my consultation. The surgery went extremely well and my sight is better than they were expecting to achieve. I can’t quite put into words how happy I am.

I was looked after extremely well and would definitely recommend Accuvision to anyone who is wanting to improve their sight.
