 It has been more than a month since my laser eye surgery and I have been benefiting from the result from day one. 

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The team are all so friendly and helpful. Any questions I had were answered fully and in plain English. Not only were they great on the day of the procedure, but also on follow up appointments. I would highly recommend this clinic if you’re blind as a bat, like I was!

I initially enquired about laser eye last year with a number of big name providers. I only ended up booking an appointment with Accuvision due to location and how easy it was to get booked in. Having Diabetes T1 I was cautious about actually going through it getting it done, however information from the doctors and from Simon Falk at Wetherby meant I could get it done. The service received from Accuvision in Wetherby was excellent throughout, couldn’t fault it. I had to come back within 6 months of my first visit to make sure my prescription was stable. When the surgery finally came round I had it done on a saturday, loads of slots available to get booked in for. The treatment was virtually painless. My left eye was done first which was fine, my right eye was done second, but knowing what was going to happen after having the first eye done, nerves and adrenaline, made the 2nd a bit more uncomfortable. There was no pain just discomfort and slight soreness afterwords in my right eye. Treatment lasted around 6+ seconds per eye and that was it. The doctors were excellent and did their utmost to keep patients calm during procedure. Keeping your mind on other things during gets you through it if you’re nervous. Vision was blurry for a fair few hours afterwards however rest sorted this. The next day I had clear vision, and its been several months now and my vision has gotten better. I had bruising for a few weeks which cleared. Again I can’t fault the aftercare, follow-up appointments were made and kept to. Highly recommend Accuvision Wetherby. Also must say the pricing is clear, no hidden charges like other laser providers.

After considering laser eye treatment for many years, but having been put off by accounts of poor customer service from some of the larger corporate brands, alongside hidden costs, I held back for some time. I found out about Accuvision through my long standing, tried and tested optician, who also does the pre and post operative assessment for the laser eye surgery there. I mentioned my interest to him and, with no pressure whatsoever, he suggested I stop in for a free, no obligation assessment to see if I would be suitable for the surgery. I was pleased to hear I was, and that the price I was quoted was the price I would pay. Extra gimmics and fancy treatment options weren’t going to be suggested just before the surgery, like some of the larger companies I have heard of do, and cost me more on top. The treatment I would get would be the best on offer, and the price would remain. The whole team were incredibly professional and courteous, they made the experience relaxed and comfortable. I work in the medical field myself, so I have a keen eye for when things are being done well, and when there is a façade. Accuvision are one of the best organised, professional and friendly healthcare organisations I have come across – no façade needed! I have always been a little squeamish of anything to do with my eyes, but I was given all the time, care and explanation of the process that I needed to make it as easy an experience as I imagine it could possibly be. The results are incredible! I wish I had this done years back, and the follow up and aftercare made me realise that this wasn’t a one off money making exercise for the team. They kept regular checks on my recovery and satisfaction, and maintained their high level of professionalism and care even though the procedure was complete and they had their money. Unfortunately there are too many companies out there who do not stick to this principle, but Accuvision is not one of them. I was using glasses for more than 17 years, I was really tired of using glasses, so decided to get rid from them and then I researched a suitable place for eye surgery and just found ACCUVISION. I went there for consultation and they explained me every thing and answered my questions, my laser surgery was today 13-5-2015 and now I can see perfectly and no need to wear glasses. From my first appointment I knew that I had chosen the best people to do my laser surgery.Simon was very good at reassuring me that it was a simple procedure he helped me make my mind up almost straight away to go ahead.
