This review has been a long time coming! I had wavefront lasik done at the London clinic by Parsons Green when I was 27, which is now 11 years ago when I was living in Cambridge. I’m now 38, ready to share my reflections. It seemed expensive at the time, but I knew I was making a long term investment in my eyes. It was worth every penny! My eyes are still as sharp as ever I am happy to say. The staff at the clinic were absolutely fantastic all the way. I was asked at the time of discharge if I’d be happy to write a review of my experience way back then, and I am happy to be able to write it now. I can look back and know that it’s been some of the best money I’ve ever spent. I can’t stress enough how transformational it is to be able to see properly. It is *amazing*! I still have the memories of wearing the protective contacts for a bit, and then being able to take them off and everything just popping with sharpness. I was staring at *everything*! In the intervening years I’ve seen things that would have just been a blur before and I’d have missed them – so glad I did this.

Having just completed the second follow up appointment, I wanted to take the opportunity to say how wonderful the whole experience has been. From the moment I phoned the first time to ask for information, to my post surgery check up, through the first visit and subsequent surgery day, the staff made me feel at home, in great capable professional hands and with human warm and friendly people. The group of tests gave me more sound information about my eye history than I ever had, and it was free with no comittment. I didn’t take long after some research and hearing feedback from other patients and from friends having got laser somewhere else that I was in the right place and the treatment was quality for money and done by professionals of the eye. I was taken care of at all times, always someone at the phone if needed, and personally treated at the clinic. I went for two other consultations prior to my visit to Accuvision Parsons Green, and they were fine, but within minutes of meeting the staff here, I was thinking," this is the place for me"……even before we discussed the price of the treatment. Vic told me everything about my vision, and what was possible, as I had my eyes checked, and I felt very comfortable about going through with the treatment. On the day, I was in and out within twenty minutes!….it did not hurt, and I was briefed well about what to expect.It was a good idea to bring my wife along, as the eyes were a bit blurry, but, lo and behold, 24 hours later,I could read again!…..after three long years of enduring reading glasses!….My work as a technician has been made a lot easier by this treatment, and I would recommend Accuvision to anybody who cared to ask……to be fair, I’ve been telling EVERYBODY who bothers to listen…. don’t be scared,get your eyes lazered , and go to Accuvision to get it done!

This treatment has changed my life!!! After wearing glasses for 20 years and struggling with contact lenses for my -8.0 and -8.50 prescription with astigmatism I now don’t need either. My prescription was gradually getting worse and affecting my confidence. But this has completely changed with this treatment. I was initially rejected for laser treatment at another clinic where I was wrongly diagnosed. I visited Accuvision after some convincing by a family member and it was the best decision ever. Right from the check up to booking appointments, the actual treatment and post op, the service is excellent.. Staff members are friendly and very supportive and patient throughout the whole process. I had worn glasses from a very young age and I’d never very much liked them. I’d previously been informed that my eyes were not suitable for contact lenses due to the disparity between my eyes and that my prescription was too strong to consider laser surgery. Accuvision, on the other hand, assured me that they were able to accommodate my prescription (+3.25, +7.0 and lazy eye) and the results speak for themselves. I have been free of glasses for a year now, and my vision is near enough perfect (due to the strength of my prescription, both eyes would never reach 20/20, but they have come very close!). The freedom is refreshing, and I no longer need to worry about damage to glasses from hobbies like martial arts.
