This is the best decision I have made! My sight was -7 and now I have better than 20/20.

The staff were fantastic all the way through the process and the aftercare. i have already recommended two friends who have now had there treatments.

I had been considering laser vision correction for a number of years, however was always too nervous about a flap being cut to go ahead. My prescription was -6.50 and -6.25 which was affecting my ability to effectively take part in mountain activities.

I found out about Accuvision through the Internet, and read about the Trans-Epitheal laser vision correction, which is a no-touch procedure. Based on my research in to this I booked a consultation in Solihull.

The consultation was very thorough and friendly. All my questions were answered, and we were able to talk about my hobbies including climbing and mountaineering, and how they would be affected.

I booked the procedure for Friday 14th November. On the day of the surgery I arrived early, and was pleased to be seen almost immediately. The team could tell that I was nervous about the procedure and were very friendly, explaining everything clearly. Following a checkup I was taken to the laser suite.

The procedure itself was very quick and with anesthetic drops was completely painless. I was instructed to look at a green light as the laser was used to remove the epithelium and then reshape the cornea.

Following the procedure I had a cup of tea and a check up. I was also given eye drops to be administered each hour during the day. My vision was a little blurry, but already better than it had been previously.

When the anesthetic drops wore off my eyes hurt quite a lot and I stayed in bed for the rest of the day. On Saturday I had my 1-day checkup. The epithelium was healing well and I could read half-way down the optician’s chart. My eyes were now a lot less painful.

After the 5 day checkup and bandage contact lens removal I was able to drive without glasses. I found my vision slightly variable, but always usable, and there was no pain after the second day. I was able to read and watch TV after 4 days, and comfortably use a computer after a week and a half.

I have just had a 2.5 week review, and my vision is now at 20/20. I am extremely pleased with all aspects of the Accuvision service. All the staff at the Soliuhull clinic were extremely patient with a nervous patient, and I am delighted with the result. 20/20 is a very good result for Trans-Epithelial treatment at just over two weeks, and it should continue to improve over the next few months.

Once again, many thanks to all the team at Accuvision in Solihull.

I had treatment about 3 years ago. I was about -2.5 in each eye. The clinic is very modern and looks very smart. The staff are very professional and polite. The afercare was also very good. My eyes were very dry for the first few days and I used eye drops. The need for drops reduced and after a month or so I didn’t ned to use aything. My eye sight is perfect 20/15 I think which I believe is better than 20/20. I would more than recommend this to people who have a similar prescription to what I used to have and I would recommend Accuvision.

I had lasik performed on 18th August at Accuvision at Fulham, and I must say how pleased I am with the treatment and after-care I have received so far.My surgeon , Mr Rostron and his team are the best in my opinion.I have been thinking about having this procedure for the past 4 years and it has taken me all this time to pluck up the courage to have this done.Really there was no need to worry, I felt I was being treated by excellent staff from start to finish.I also must say a special thank you to my optometrist Joan, who is so professional but also caring and very helpful.
I was also seen at another clinic at East Grinstead and was quoted £4,500, for Intralase lasik which i just could not afford, and I’m now so glad that I kept with my decision to have it done at Accuvision, for me there was no need to spend that kind of money, but that is just my personal opinion.
My sight was quite bad, -4.5(L) and – 5.0(R).Although I can see now very well, my left eye is taking slightly longer to catch up with my right eye, but I’m told this is perfectly normal.
I would highly recommend the procedure and this clinic, and no it REALLY is not painful at all!

Vik kept saying ‘It’s only day one’ as he checked my eyes before removing the contact lens bandages. My vision is great today and I can only look forward to it getting better.

Oh yes, I had the surgery yesterday, Thursday July 3rd 2008, and I’m sitting at my computer writing this at half past eight on the following evening!

Thanks to great guidance I opted for the mono-vision choice. One eye adjusted for best distance and one for reading. It works.

I understand that my eyes are still recovering from the surgery and so some of the healing process is interfering with the sight, I understand all that technical stuff, I realise that the Accuvision team have been very careful to warn me that….oh yes I understand. But I can see!

Everything you read in the other testimonials about the ease and painlessness of the procedure is true so I won’t repeat any of that.

What I want to add is simply this:
Accuvision didn’t make any false promises, Accuvision were very clear in their care instructions, Accuvision made me feel very comfortable and then worked the wonder of laser technology on my eyes.

This is being written in light blue writing on a white background on my computer set at 1280 x 960 on a 20′ screen and I’m not wearing any glasses.

Thank you to everybody at Accuvision in Solihull. I wish I were clever enough to fully express my joy.

Once more – THANK YOU.

Just one question.
Why does the rating on the testimonial page only peak at ‘Very Good’ when I want to put it at somewhere just above ‘A Blooming Miracle’?

Since having surgery, I have recommended it to everyone who wears glasses with no reservations. It is one of the best things I have done. My eyesight is now better that 20/20 with no after effects whatsoever. The professionals at Accuvision are attentive, helpful and extremely friendly. The whole procedure was simple and smooth, from initial consultation through to aftercare. I have utter confidence in them and would not hesitate to recommend them.

I’d worn glasses since the age of about five for things like reading, TV, schoolwork and then later driving. As soon as possible I moved on to contact lenses and was pretty happy with them at first. However, after a while the whole routine of having to clean them and take them out etc etc started to get on my nerves so I looked in having laser surgery.
I did a bit of research into the various companies around but was very impressed by the service and value for money I was offered at Accuvision.
One of the main reasons I was keen to get my eyes lasered is for my rugby – all too frequently I would lose a contact lens on the pitch and be half blind for the rest of the game.
I decided to go with Accuvision and after a being taken through the procedure step by step I agreed to have the surgery done.
On the day I was pretty nervous but was re-assured by the calm atmosphere at the clinic. After a few more routine checks I found myself underneath the laser machine, waiting to experience all the horror stories I’d heard – the smell of burning cornea, the pain, the discomfort etc etc.
The procedure took I’d say about 7secs per eye and there was no smell, no pain, and no discomfort. The worst aspect of the whole things was having lots of drops put into my eyes.
As soon as the surgeon let me sit up I could see – it was amazing. I really found it quite an emotional experience to be able to see perfectly after so many years of glasses and contact lenses and blurred vision.
I went home with a course of drops to take, came back the next day and then again a few months later for the last checkup to ensure everything is OK.
My surgeon says now if he hadn’t done the surgery, looking at my eyes he wouldn’t know I’d had it done and apparently I have better than 20:20 vision – I didn’t even know such a thing was possible!!
The operation really is one of the best things I have ever done – I feel so happy not to have to rely on glasses or lenses and it’s fantastic not to have to worry about my eyes on the rugby pitch.
I couldn’t recommend having the surgery done highly enough and the service and expertise I experienced at Accuvision was second to none.

Photo attached too.

Thanks so much

After an initial consultation with a well known high street optician, I was convinced I wanted to go ahead with laser surgery but I WAS NOT CONFIDENT with the staff who tried to answer my questions. I then went to Accuvision, London and could not have been more impressed. All the staff were polite, patient and very informative – I trusted them completely. The surgery went extremely well, no pain and my vision is better than I had ever hoped it would be. The procedure regarding mono-vision was explained in detail and contact lenses were inserted into my eyes so I could experience what my sight would be like after surgery. You can’t get better informed than that !! If you are considering Laser Surgery, believe all the positive comments on Accuvision. I recommend them 100%

Nearly 12 months on and my eyesight is still wonderful. I have to think hard what it was like to wear glasses! Now it’s winter – no more steaming up of glasses when coming back into the house! Fantastic – I have told everyone about it.
