 I attended the Solihull branch over a year ago from having my first consultation. I have a very strong prescription and decided I wanted to be free from wearing contat lenses or glasses for good. I understood that I may have to wear them as I age but the guarantee of never having to go back to a -9.0 prescription was enough for me. 
I decided to book into have surgery and believe it’s the best choice I ever made. 
The surgery was quick, the staff were very supportive and the postcare is excellent. If you rely heavily on glasses or contacts to live your everyday life, the laser surgery is definitely for you.

 Went to AccuVision after being refused treatment elsewhere. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. There was no pressure to book on the day, infact I was told to go away and think about it first.
The team who carried out the surgery were excellent even though I was nervous and told jokes, they talked to me throughout.
I can’t fault anything about the clinic and the people working there.

If you are considering laser eye surgery, then these are the people to contact. I spent a lot of time researching and having consultations with other clinics and Accuvision were the only ones that made me feel like an individual. I’m now 38 and I had previously been wearing contact lenses for over 18 years. During my 20’s my sight gradually deteriorated to a hefty -7.00 in both eyes with astigmatism. At the beginning of 2017 I started to think seriously about LASIK and went for a consultation at the Wetherby site. Two weeks later I was booked in for surgery. On the day I was pretty nervous, but was quickly put at ease and all my questions and concerns were answered thoroughly. The surgical team were extremely professional and after a completely painless 5 minutes they sat me up and I could see everyone’s smiling faces – unbelievable! In the hours after surgery I didn’t experience any discomfort, swelling or irritation and I believe this was down to skill and surgical expertise. After resting my eyes for 24 hours, the next day at the clinic, to my amazement my vision was better than 20/20 and it has been been gradually improving ever since. I can now read the 20/15 line and see better than I ever did with contact lenses or glasses. I can’t thank the Accuvision enough for their skill and professionalism. My only regret is not getting this done sooner! I would highly recommend Accuvision – which incidentally I’ve already done to family and friends. I decided to go for the mono vision option and the journey from consultation to end result has been a good experience, I also had second surgery, this was due to some caution with my sight after my initial op, and in hindsight (no pun intended) and the extra wait and aftercare involved were well worth it. All the way through I was informed in terms that I could understand and was impressed by the staff, the processes and the machinery/technology involved. To me there is still a lot of general talk and eye surgery, my individual needs were met and I now have the eyesight I wanted.

 I’ve always worn glasses since the age of 11 years and have been unable to wear contact lenses due to discomfort. This hampered my enjoyment of sports and other outdoor activities and my glasses led to regular headaches.
The team at AccuVision were recommended to me by two colleagues who had had the treatment at Solihull and after meeting the team I took the plunge.

 From the start I was made to feel at ease and no pressure to go ahead with the surgery was ever used.
Once the decision was made to go ahead the staff were extremley helpful and friendly all the way through, explaining clearly and re-assessing at every stage.

 If you are wondering whether to have laser eye treatment performed by the excellent team at AccuVision then from my experience you should do so. Do not let anyone put you off if, in their opinion, after assessment AccuVision believe they can treat you. You will certainly be treated by some outstanding dedicated staff, with great skill and care and those in the team will seek to assist and relax you from any concerns you may have.

As a keen sports player and gardener and being an outdoor enthusiast, who had worn glasses since my early years, the change in my life through no longer having to wear glasses after circa 45 years has been immense. Now aged over 50 years, to be able to read the scoreboard at one end of Lord’s cricket ground and be sitting at the other end without wearing glasses showed me the very great benefit of having laser eye surgery. I have gone from having the poorest eyesight in my family to having the best – all in little more than a dozen minutes surgery…

I appreciate, as with any surgery, complications can occur and you may worry about having laser eye surgery. That is why I chose not to pay for the surgery with bottom end prices but to pay for a high quality service and that is very much what I received, not just when operated on in late September 2016 but on the further consultations I have had with AccuVision since.

While great care has to be taken with the eyes being sensitive to light in the immediate hours after the operation and the wearing of sunglasses even in darkish areas, personally, I shall never forget being able to read my watch without visual assistance as I got off the operating couch and immediately after surgery. Then later that day travelling back via Guildford by train and seeing blocks of flats at a distance of circa 800 metres from the railway station and realising for the first time in over 40 years I was no longer dependent on glasses and could see a surprising distance clearly, which I could not have seen in travelling to London that morning. 
What a fantastic change to my life in one afternoon! Nothing will ever seem quite the same.
