Short sight

I had been wearing glasses due to my short sightedness since my teens. In my early twenties I started wearing contacts, although I usually wore them over the weekends/occasions. Therefore majority of the time I wore my glasses. I had been thinking about laser eye surgery for some time and like everyone else, it was a daunting prospect. My twin sister had hers done earlier this year and everything seemed to go well for her and I had an idea of what went on, as I attended the consultation and the surgery day with her. I had three consultations before I made my final decision. Two of these were high street clinics and the third being Accuvision. My gut feeling was to go with Accuvision, I felt I was given all the relevant information with Accuvision and overall they were the cheapest option (although as everyone would agree, the price was not the main factor in my decision). On the day of the surgery I was surprisingly relaxed. I had the surgery and I was in there for about 15 minutes (left eye -3.00 right eye -2.75 with some astigmatism. I felt no pain other than pressure on my eyes, when the surgeon was creating the flap. Immediately after my surgery I took some pain killers, preparing for the pain which was to come. My sister complained of her eyes stinging and hurting quite a lot. However I was very lucky not to have neither. Other than my eyes being watery, I was waiting for the discomfort but nothing came. I rested most of the day and ensured I kept on top of the eye drops as instructed. By the next day, my vision started clearing for me and I knew it had worked!!! I had my 4 week appointment with Accuvision last week and can say with satisfaction that I have better than 20:20 vision. There is no feeling like it and if I was to describe it, I would say I feel liberated. I cannot thank Accuvision enough and would sincerely like to thank Kareena and Simon (Wetherby clinic). I would recommend them to anyone wanting to have the surgery done. They were absolutely fantastic. Thank you

Have been short sighted from the age of around 10. Have always been told I need to wear glasses as my eyes were very short sighted but was very self conscious about wearing glasses and contact lenses always irritated my Eyes.
Booked a free consultation and was suggested to have the tans-epi procedure. The following week I was booked in for treatment. Within the first 3 days of treatment my eyes were alot better.
I’m 6 days post surgery now and I’m 80% recovered and my eyes are near perfect. Have been told that they should be 20/20 and beyond within a couple more days.
I couldn’t be happier and glad I went ahead with the laser correction. The staff were spot on and very friendly and couldn’t ask for better. Thankyou for everything and I can now enjoy seeing in what it seems like 4k vision.

I had the Lasik procedure in October 2014, and the results have been fantastic. Before I had the laser eye surgery, I always had to wear glasses or contact lenses, and I also suffered with dry eyes. My main concern when I was considering laser surgery was that it would make my eyes even dryer. Thankfully, it did the opposite. As I no longer need contact lenses, my eyes do not suffer the irritation they used to, and are so much more comfortable. My eyesight is great – I can see clearly all the time and the results exceeded my expectations. The staff at the London clinic are friendly and informative. All the available options were clearly explained to me at the consultation, and on the day of the surgery I felt in safe hands. The procedure itself is over very quickly – it lasted maybe 5 minutes. There was some slight discomfort for the few days after, but this was to be expected and it was very mild. Once the protective contact lenses were taken off, I could really start to appreciate how good my eyesight was, and it continued improving whilst my eyes adjusted. If you are thinking about laser eye surgery, from my personal experience I would highly recommend Accuvision based on the care before, during and after the surgery. I’m enjoying being free from glasses and contact lenses, which I never thought I would be.

Very positive experience, I was really short sighted and now have 20:20 visions. The consultation, treatment and aftercare were all great and the staff were all exceptionally helpful, supportive and friendly. They were recommended to me and would recommend to others myself. I felt well looked after.

Having corrective laser eye surgery is, without doubt, one of the best things I’ve ever done and I’m incredibly grateful for the superb team in Fulham for their care. Corrective eye surgery has significantly improved the quality of my life in ways I’d not imagined and being able to see when I wake up is a complete joy! Prior to surgery I had a -10 and -11 prescription and had worn glasses and/or lenses since I was a child. I’d been declined surgery elsewhere because of my strong prescription and the thinness of my cornea, so I was overwhelmed when Accuvision said they could help me. I now have what must be virtually 20:20 vision with no need at all for lenses or glasses, which still blows my mind even now, three months post surgery. I am very grateful to the Accuvision team in Fulham whose service and care was absolutely first rate.

I have just had my 1 week follow up after the procedure, and I am delighted with the results. All the staff that I dealt with were lovely, both friendly and professional but more importantly careful, diligent and understanding. I now have better than 20/20 vision and can say goodbye to glasses and contacts which is wonderful. I wanted to wait a full year since I had my laser eye surgery with Accuvision to review them as this is the minimum they recommend for the eyes to fully heal and settle down. I can safely say that it is one of the best purchases and investments I have ever made. I am extremely happy with the outcome and service I was offered. Why Accuvision? They seemed very trustworthy and understanding from the first consultation. They were happy to answer any questions, fears or doubts about the procedure or practice. The whole team from the receptionist through to the surgeon were very friendly and attentive and the price they quoted was very competitive too. The surgery itself went very well and at worst was only a little uncomfortable which was to be expected. After 3 days I felt great and could see perfectly. The after care was excellent and thorough and I always felt in capable hands. Now a year on I couldn’t be happier with the results and service. If you’re considering having it done, don’t delay, at least go for a consultation and see for yourself.
