Short sight

I’m now 38 and I had previously been wearing contact lenses for over 18 years. During my 20’s my sight gradually deteriorated to a hefty -7.00 in both eyes with astigmatism. At the beginning of 2017 I started to think seriously about LASIK and went for a consultation at the Wetherby site. Two weeks later I was booked in for surgery. On the day I was pretty nervous, but was quickly put at ease and all my questions and concerns were answered thoroughly. The surgical team were extremely professional and after a completely painless 5 minutes they sat me up and I could see everyone’s smiling faces – unbelievable! In the hours after surgery I didn’t experience any discomfort, swelling or irritation and I believe this was down to skill and surgical expertise. After resting my eyes for 24 hours, the next day at the clinic, to my amazement my vision was better than 20/20 and it has been been gradually improving ever since. I can now read the 20/15 line and see better than I ever did with contact lenses or glasses. I can’t thank the Accuvision enough for their skill and professionalism. My only regret is not getting this done sooner! I would highly recommend Accuvision – which incidentally I’ve already done to family and friends. I decided to go for the mono vision option and the journey from consultation to end result has been a good experience, I also had second surgery, this was due to some caution with my sight after my initial op, and in hindsight (no pun intended) and the extra wait and aftercare involved were well worth it. All the way through I was informed in terms that I could understand and was impressed by the staff, the processes and the machinery/technology involved. To me there is still a lot of general talk and eye surgery, my individual needs were met and I now have the eyesight I wanted.

 I’ve always worn glasses since the age of 11 years and have been unable to wear contact lenses due to discomfort. This hampered my enjoyment of sports and other outdoor activities and my glasses led to regular headaches.
The team at AccuVision were recommended to me by two colleagues who had had the treatment at Solihull and after meeting the team I took the plunge.
Helpful and attentive staff at all stages and extreme attention to detail – I felt unpressured at every stage – this was not one of those ‘hard sell’ practices.
The day of the procedure was much less scary than expected and when I became nervous during the surgery the surgeons and assistant were so lovely making me laugh and feel at ease. 
I had no discomfort afterwards and no pain!
A monh on and I can see better than 20/20. I’ve not had a headache for a month (I usually had one a week) and I’m so glad I went ahead with my surgery at AccuVision!

 The staff were so polite and friendly, they all knew me personally and I loved that they always remembered /familiarised themselves with my profession and made helpful comments regarding aftercare. It was very personal. The whoe process was exactly as they described.
The clinic is so clean and tidy. Staff always clean the equipment infront of you and ask if you want a drink etc. The optometrists have so much time to explain things and answer all questions.
All the staff have so much time for their patients and I am so grateful for the gift of vision you have helped me achieve! Thank you.

Wonderful people, honest and thorough. The actual operation was a little uncomfortable but I have horribly defensive eyes that hate being touched (!) That aside, I was treated exceptionally well and I’m very, very happy with the result and would urge anyone who is thinking about having it done not to waste any time! The only complication I had was a little blurriness in one eye for about two weeks but I was able to ring the 24 hour number to speak to someone about it, which apart from anything else, was really reassuring just knowing I had that option. The swelling/blurriness has almost vanished now 35 days after the actual operation. I donated all my old glasses to charity – it was either that or riding over them with a massive bulldozer (!) The journey to the clinic takes me about 90 minutes and I enjoy it every time because I know I’m going somewhere awesome ^_^

The best service and best price, So glad i used Accuvision Solihull, Birmingham for my Laser eye treatment after visiting two other clinics. Very professional and fantastic after care service. I now have 20/15 Vision (one better than 20/20) Goodbye to contact lenses and future costs.

Great service from all involved. Booked on Tuesday, surgery on Saturday, could see better almost immediately, went home, came back in on Monday, almost had 20:20 vision! 4 weeks later and I now have 20:15 vision which is even better!

I had my procedure 2 weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier thanks to Accuvision team. I came across their website through their recent deal ( 800 pounds per eye ). The pre-assessment was done professionally and left being well informed prior to consenting to the procedure (including answering their audited success, risks and complication rates). Importantly, I didn’t feel any obligation to go ahead with the procedure and felt the team worked towards their patient’s care rather than profit. The procedure itself was a breeze and the team from the receptionist to the ophthalmologist were kind, supportive and professional. The after care is equally excellent. I would definitely recommend these guys.
