Technology: 5/5Comments: I am writing this review 6 years after my surgery in August 2006 and I should say that I am very very happy I had the laser eye surgery.
My vision is still perfect on one eye and has decreased by 0.25 on the other, which is - as far as my and my current ophthalmologist are concerned - a brilliant result.
If I had known how much I would enjoy life without glasses I would have had the surgery years before I actually did.
Compared to the prices in continental Europe Accuvision are very competitive too.

Review : Like many others who have posted here before, I had been considering having surgery for many years. This year I am pleased to say that I finally decided to do something about it and find out if I was suitable. I had increasingly found wearing contact lenses uncomfortable and desperately needed a new pair of glasses and, having a prescription of -8.75 with astigmatism, resented the thought of the expense this would entail. Having read many positive stories I decided that Accuvision would be the best place to try.
I attended my consultation in September with an open mind and was quite prepared to be told that nothing could be done. I was delighted to find out that my eyes were suitable for surgery and that I should expect a good outcome from it even though there was a chance that I would be left with a small residual prescription. My surgery was booked the next day for the end of October. Everything went according to plan and the procedure really was over so quickly with only minor discomfort.. My check up the next day was positive and by my one week follow up my vision was as good as it had been with glasses beforehand with a promise that with further healing it should get better still. I did not expect a miraculous recovery and my vision certainly fluctuated during that first week. Personally I would not have been happy to have been at work for that first week but I would say that after 2 weeks my vision felt perfectly stable. There is still some night vision 'interference' but I feel quite comfortable driving in the dark. I do not find this to be any worse than driving at night whilst wearing my glasses or having worn contact lenses all day.
My overall experience at Accuvision was excellent. I had read how professional and friendly the team are and found this to be totally true. I never felt under any pressure to go ahead with surgery and that my welfare was the priority. I hope I haven't rambled on too long here but to be able to see properly without glasses or lenses having relied upon them for nearly 40 years is a revelation. I can particularly appreciate my new vision on such a wonderful clear sunny day here today.
If you are thinking of having this procedure I would thoroughly recommend Accuvision. This was a big decision for me to make and I am so pleased that I went for it.

Comments: I've wanted laser eye surgery for a number of years now, and after waiting for my prescription to level out I finally had the procedure in December 2011.
The staff at London were brilliant, there was no 'hard sell' and I was made to feel really at ease.
The procedure as a whole was over before I could even worry about it. There was no pain at all and I was back at work 2 days later. Now 6 months on I cannot recommend this enough.
I can honestly say it's the best thing I've ever done.

Technology: 5/5Comments: Basically best decision I have ever made. My vision was standing at -7.00 which made me totally dependent on my glasses and lenses. I have considered laser treatment before with other companies but had been told my prescription was too high.
I am a personal trainer, keen runner and play sports so when my optician told me my lenses were damaging my eyes due to the length of time I wore them I decided to consult Accuvision.
Simon and Kim at Leeds couldn't have put me more at ease. The fact that Simon had been through the procedure himself and could describe exactly how he felt made me feel very confident about the whole procedure.
On the surgery day the whole team made me feel comfortable and confident - In fact I think my mum was more nervous than me!! 7 min later, all done! My vision was improved from the off, very sensitive to light but no pain.
It took about 4 days until I could stand bright lights and I first drove again after
5 days. I don't think I relaxed until my second checkup where I had my sight confirmed at -0.5! After my third checkup my vision is now better than it was with the aid of glasses!!I would recommend Accuvision (particularly Leeds) to anyone considering laser treatment. Waking up in the morning and being able to see is priceless!!! :-)
