fantastic work! had eye surgery a week ago, and very, very impressed with
the results. money well spent. surgery itself was quick and you can't
feel a thing, including when they hold your eye open with a speculum thingie...
because of the anaesthetic, you don't know that eye's not blinking.
my score (I gave 4/5 for customer service) is marred only by the sales
consultant i saw on my first appointment, who seemed a little put out
by my questioning on price. he'd done all the tests and told me i was
perfect on all of them, and then charged me 30% more than the price advertised
on the web site because my cornea was a few microns thinner than usual.
surely their laser can cope with such things and make adjustments without
any difficulty?
i asked him how many people actually get the £500 per eye price, and he
wouldn't tell me.
also, a loooong wait before going in for the laser treatment itself -
almost an hour in the waiting room. just as well i wasn't nervous otherwise
i'd have been wetting myself by the time i went in.

I think I'm pretty much a text book case of how it's all supposed to go.
Had -6 and -4.5, had a couple of consultantions whilst trying to pluck
up courage then had the Op. Very intense, very short (seconds), nothing
nice about it but no pain. I certainly felt they were professionals. Eyes
were immediately fixed, slight soreness for an hour or two, very slight
haziness for a day, then better than 20:20 the week after. Everything
went absolutely to plan, they did everything right and everything turned
out good!! Magic Laser Eyes!

Hi, I had my surgery about 6-8 weeks ago now. For all you people who are
like me and only have -1 to -2 vision and thought laser eye surgery would
not make a difference think again. I must say the difference is amazing
I am so impressed. I went to the Birmingham Clinic and the staff/experience
was great. The actual surgery lasted no more than 6 minutes from start
to finish(although yopu are there around 1.5 Hours).
Dispite what you may hear the surgery does not hurt nor is it uncomfortable
if anything it is kind of a out of the body experience. The recovery time
is quick and totally painless as is the surgery.
I would recommend Accuvision totally with no reservation. I did develop
a very minor but rare eye infection which with support and the correct
direction was gone in a matter of days.
I have now had my 4 week check and have got 20/10 vision in fact the optician
I use does not have letters small enough for me to see!!!!!!!!! Although
this vision was achieved within a day or two after surgery it did become
sharper within one-two weeks post surgery.
Great, brilliant, amazing do it now do not hesitate you will be amazed.

I had lasik with Accuvision about 5 years ago to treat very short sightedness
and astigmatism in both eyes. I did my research and chose Accuvision not
because they were the cheapest (they were not) but because the independent
feeback I read about them was all positive. I don't want to take any chances
with my eyes! For years after the operation I would wake up with perfect
eyesight and it would blow me away, now I just take it for granted. The
staff at accuvision were fantastic, the equipment and premises first rate
and all these years after the operation my eyesight is still better than
20/20 and I still get a christmas card from Accuvision! Thank you!

After 44 years of wearing glasses I now have better than 20/20 vision.
I had Lasik wavefront surgery at the Fulham clinic. The experience was
pleasant, pain free and the staff excellent. They all amde me feel at
ease from the start to finish of treatment. All of my questions were answered.
I would recommend Accuvision and the team at Fulham.

AMAZING. It's taken me a year to write my review of the service offered
by Accuvision for the Wavefront Lasik surgery undertaken. I approached
them after several favourable reviews from family and friends - and I
wasn't disappointed!
Having two young kids who constantly jump on you and damage or drop your
glasses, I thought it was time to get the surgery done and dusted.
It's a scary thought, having laser surgery to your eyes. Not at all!!!
The whole experience from start to finish was painless, both in terms
of the surgery and the cost. Accuvision is the ultimate in professionalism
- from the relaxed administrative staff to the knowledgable consultant,
Vikash, and the brilliant surgical team.
Everything was explained in layman terms and conducive to providing a
totally relaxed experience.
The surgery itself was over within minutes, and the vision that I had
relied on so long through the use of glasses was gone within minutes.
The explanations provided during the surgery puts you at ease and nothing
was rushed.
The initial mild discomfort (not pain) was over within hours of the surgery.
My vision was better than 20/20 within days. One year on and I have nothing
but praise for all the people at Accuvision, who have truly changed my
life for the better. Thank you to one and all.
Over the course of the year, I have recommended Accuvision to other friends
and family - and I would recommend them to anyone else who is considering
laser surgery.
Once again, AMAZING!!!!!

What more is there to say. Perfect vision after a week. No discomfort
or pain even during the surgery. Brilliant service. At 750 an eye you
should think about anywhere else. Already recommended them to a few friends.

I had been toying with the idea of visiting an laser eye surgeon, and
found one in Bluewater near where I live. I went along for the consultation
and looking forward to eye laser surgery, but when being told that as
my eye sight was so bad and when they matched the cost to my eye sight,
I was flabbergasted, and fell off my chair. (not reading the small print
which said “from” ) this eye laser surgeon wanted to charge me 4 times
what I thought the cost would be (*£395 per eye). I decided to shop around
and looked for a more reasonable eye laser surgeon, without compensating
service or procedure.
I found Accuvision, New Kings Road, Fulham. I had worn contact lenses
and glasses since I was 19 for 28 years. For years I had abused my eyes
by keeping contact lenses in my eyes for extended hours, and kept lens
well past there sell by date. I never envisaged having such perfect eye
sight after corrective treatment.
I would like to thank the staff for such a caring manor, throughout the
whole process I was informed of each and every part from what to expect
and right down to the sensation I would feel. There was NO pain, only
very slight discomfort. In my own words it was like having my very own
version of close encounters of the third kind, with different coloured
lights flashing in front of your eyes, white, green and red lights, as
the surgery was done.
Immediately after getting up from the surgery I knew it had been a great
success, although very hazy It was the first time I could see the whites
of everyone’s eyes clearly without specs for 28 years, my vision before
surgery was -6.0 Spectacle prescription in both eyes. For the majority
of the first two weeks I had halo’s around lights whether it be driving
or just looking a lights, but this didn’t hinder my sight which has really
improved since and become much sharper, also my near sighted vision was
as good immediately after surgery but this has also improved and I can
see clearly as 7 inches from each eye. I had Lasik Wavefront surgery which
was done on the 4th October, and at my weekly check-up was told that my
eyesight was now better than 20-20 vision.
Thank you very much Accuvission for my eye-sight back, its fantastic!
I have recommended Accuvission to many close friends and family, and told
them all if they wish a chaperone I’m willing to go with them.
Once again, big thanks to all the surgeons, doctors, consultants and staff
at Accuvision, fantastic!

Without doubt one of the best decisions I have made was to get my eyes
corrected by laser. It wasn't cheap but you really can't (well I couldn't)
put a price on 20/20 vision and not having to put on a pair of glasses
or insert a pair of contact lenses.
The staff at Accuvision were extremely professional and courteous and
I was under the impression that the patient always came first - from the
initial consultation right through to the aftercare one year on after
surgery. They went through the results of the consultation and made their
recommendation and my suitability.
I started out at R: +1.25 / -5.00 / 180 and L: +1.00 / -5.00 / 7.
After surgery I am now L: 6/6 and R: 6/6+ which is the equivalent of 20:20
in my left and 20:15 in my right which I would not have belived possible.
Its a strange feeling when you have spent all of your life looking at
a blurred world to wake up in the morning and being able to see.
Overall I was very impressed with Accuvision and have no reservations
about recommending them to others.

I had my eyes operated on in August. To say I was terrified was an understatement,
but the surgery was fine, such a non event after all my worrying. A little
wierd but absolutely no pain whatsoever and within seconds of opening
my eyes I could see that my vision was better. I could read the ticker
tape on the TV in the waiting room, something that would have been impossible
before!! When I went back for my weekly check up, the staff were shocked
to see that my vision was 20/10 ( better than 20/20, they said to achieve
that the surgery had shaved the right amount off my eye down to the last
cell!!) This really is the best thing I have ever had done, the best way
I can explain it is that before I was watching life on a 14inch telly
and now it's like I'm seeing in high definition.!

before - a lazy left eye that had an astigmatism of -6.5 and a perfect
right eye. Most of my life i had perfect vision thanks to my right eye
but recently it had gotten tired so thought about laser surgery for about
2 years.
During - did a lot of research into many surgeries based around london
and found accuvision to have great reviews. was messed around by optical
express so gave accuvision the benefit of doubt. my consultation was sales
free, vikram was very clear in what was achievable (not 20:20) but an
improvement was possible. at this stage i knew it would be gamble as to
what i would achieve.
surgery - to be absolutely honest it wasn't pleasant but it was painless,
i'm a bit funny about my eyes and i didn't like seeing somesone poke around
my eye ball.
post surgery - everything went fine! vision was very blurry for the 1st
week, loads of halos and vision that fluctuated between good and bad.
1 month on - vision seems to have stabilised, after several check ups
my eye has improved from a -6.5 to -0.5 wow! as my right eye did most
of the work i don't have a wow factor in improvement but what i do have
is far greater periphery vision, i no longer see in a monocular affect
but binocular which is great!
i've been very impressed by accuvision care and attention, although for
now it's not a life changing experience for me due to my circumstance
i can only speculate as to what it must be like for spectacle wearers.
i wholeheartedly recommend accuvision for all that they have done for
me.
at the very least go and have a chat with them

Quite simply the best decision I ever made. I had -3.5 and -4.25 and the
results were text book, and ended up with one line of vision better then
20/20! I went for my 6 month check up yesterday and everything is perfect,
I was dischagred although they emphasise that they will be there for support
anytime.... The staff are the most amazing, caring people and the after
support is fantastic. The procedure is very fast and painless, and your
back to normal after 1 days rest. Incredible...Its changed my life. I
would highly recommend ACCUVISION to anyone....!

Had my yearly check up last month & have been discharged from Accuvision
(althought they assured me I could contact them at any time if I felt
I had any problems).
My eyes are still fantastic & I had my 1st holiday in about 20yrs
where I was able to swim underwater & not have to worry about people
splashing.
I'm still amazed that I now have 20/20 vision after all these years &
I would recommend this treatment to anyone (Infact I have which resulted
in 3 more people having their eyes done all of which have been as pleased
as me with the results)
Thank you to everyone at accvision for helping to change & improve
my life

Well, I have waited more than 6 months since my surgery before filing
this report and I have to say that initially it was a bit of a roller-coaster
ride (wasn’t really sure what the final outcome would be) - but
I’m very pleased with the results now that everything has settled
down.
In the first five days after surgery my eyesight went from very blurred
(first couple of days) to superb long sight but with less than perfect
mid/short distance vision. However, on the sixth day after a somewhat
cloudy start everything began to get a whole lot sharper - which was a
great relief, to say the least! I guess I should add that I’m 58,
have worn glasses since I was about sixteen and have had varifocals (i.e.
a need for reading correction to go along with my short-sightedness) for
the past ten years - so maybe these were factors in terms of my initial
problems with mid/short distance vision?
Today I have 20/20 vision - or very close to it - and any interim problems
I had such as night driving difficulties (bleached out headlamps etc)
and somewhat variable vision in my left eye are no longer an issue. I
should explain that my expectations pre-op were that I would still need
glasses for reading once the surgery had been done (which is the case)
as I had opted for ‘best possible’ distance vision for sport
- didn’t want to compromise that in any way.
I suspect that I may not be a typical case with regard to age and a prior
‘reading’ prescription, so perhaps my account will be of interest
to anyone who is over 50 and thinking of laser eye surgery.
As with the majority of other testimonials I have read, I cannot fault
AccuVision in any way - their care and thoroughness throughout have been
‘spot on’. Thank you AccuVision.

This is my second posting
A quick note to say just had my 6 month check and am delighted with the
outcome. Due to my age 46 only using my cheap readers for close reading
at night. For everything else no specs required - wonderful! Many thanks
once again to Accuvision !

I was a self confessed contact lens abuser, wearing my lens from the moment
I woke up 'til the moment I went to bed (often falling asleep in them)
for 14 years. This resulted obviously in numerous eye infections the most
recent of which excruciatingly painful and resulting in my optician banning
me from buying any more lens’ and a couple of visits to the Eye Clinic
at St Thomas’ Hospital. I had been warned in the past about wearing my
lens for so long but figured that I wasn’t as bad as I used to be, now
that I actually own a pair of glasses at least.
My prescription was -5 & -5.5 which of course meant I had to wear
glasses or lens’ going without was not an option. However my wearing my
lenses was damaging my eyes so badly that even with the lens or the glasses
I was still having difficulty seeing more than a few meters away. After
2 weeks of no lenses my optician was still not happy to supply lenses
until I had a check up at the hospital, they gave me the all clear but
it seemed time to make a change before it was too late.
I didn’t feel confident in going to a surgeon that operates out of a shopping
centre, not much different from a show shop with the emphasis on get them
in get them out, these are the only eyes I’ll ever have and I’ve ill treated
them enough. I made an appointment with Accuvision to see if I was suitable
for laser treatment, I didn’t hold out much hope as the optician’s moans
were ringing in my head about the permanent damage I had done to my eyes.
I had to keep my lenses out for the days leading up to my appointment
so they could properly assess my eyes. They confirmed that my eye sight
seemed worse than my prescription but said this was due to the surface
damage to my eyes due to my contact lens habits and would be difficult
to rectify with lenses or glasses. They then took scans of my eyes. Your
eye should be a smooth surface; mine however looked like the Himalayas,
inflamed and covered in scar tissue. A second opinion was called for and
it was decided that I could have surgery but Epi Lasik not Lasik, due
to the state of my eyes. I know they never guarantee 20/20 vision for
anyone but they were very honest and said that they doubt I’ll achieve
this due to the condition of my eyes, all due to my years of contact lens
abuse. I was told that even if I did not have the surgery they recommended
I never wear lenses again. I was mortified at the thought and figured
that even if I am left wearing glasses for driving or close work it has
to be better than being dependant on my glasses like I was then. I agreed
to the surgery and to the pre surgery instructions, no lens at all between
now and the surgery. That’s a whole month, in my case, of wearing my glasses!!!!
Also for the 5 days prior to the surgery I had to put anti inflammatory
drops in my eyes 3-4 times a day. The day of surgery came around and much
to my and the surgeons surprise my eyes were so much better that they
said I would be better suited to Lasik. This was due to the simple course
of anti inflammatory drops and no lens, so disappointing that the doctors
at St Thomas’ Hospital never prescribed them before. It was decided that
Lasik it was, much to my relief. I am not a big fan of pain or surgery
of any kind and a bit of a girl about anything like that but was so pleased
that everything was over so quickly and completely pain free. You just
keep looking at the light, there’s a brief smell, not unlike burning hair
a few drops in your eyes and away you go. As simple as that, or at least
that’s how they make the experience feel for you. As soon as I sat up
from the bed I looked at the surgeon and was stunned I could actually
see him!!!!!
The care throughout has been brilliant, I returned the next day for my
check up all ok vision just a little like a foggy day. At my week check
up I was reading 20/20 something neither myself nor the surgeons ever
expected, to say I am over the moon is an understatement. I still go to
take my lenses out at night and still wake up thinking “damn I slept in
my lenses again” but I can live with that confusion, I’m sure it will
pass.
The wearing glasses for a month combined with no make up for a few days
before the surgery was a nightmare for someone as vain as myself but I
can’t explain the joy of now being able to see better than I’ve been able
to see since the age of 12
Accuvison may not be the cheapest option for surgery but what price do
you put on your eye sight! Personally I don’t think I could’ve made a
better choice of surgery and thoroughly recommend Accuvision to anyone
considering the procedure. I can not fault their expertise and levels
of care throughout. They exceeded both mine and their own expectations
and I am forever grateful.

I've waited until my final check-up was completed before writing this
review. Firstly though i must tell you my prescription was approx -4.00
and -3.75, i thought of laser eye surgery some years ago with "Boots"
but was refused due to a thin cornea! So about 6 mths ago i took the plunge
again! hoping for a change in technology. Using this website i decided
on Accuvision (parsons green clinic).
I phoned them to arrange a consultation which was booked for the following
week. When i arrived i was greeted with confident and happy smiles and
to my suprise also found out i DIDNT have thin corneas in fact i had plenty
of cornea thickness. I was told i would be a perfect candidate for surgery.
SO i had it done there and then!!
Let me stress i was not pressured in any way to do this, it was my decision
and mine alone and boy oh boy was i glad i took it. No nervous wait for
me!
When it came to the procedure all i can say is its "strange" not painful
in anyway but "strange"! You can read details about the aftercare elsewhere
on this site, your 4 follow up appointments and emergency phone number
for the first 24hrs etc but i can add it is excellent. My eyesight is
now perfect, i can even read the line BELOW the 20/20 line! I cannot recommend
Accuvision enough!

This is my second review following my second operation!!!.... But don’t
panic, it’s not all bad news!
I had my first operation at the end of March and posted my glowing review
2 days after surgery (25/03/06). Over the next month however, my sight
deteriorated and my prescription drifted back to about +2.25 (about half
of my original prescription)
I had the second “enhancement” op at the end of May (at no extra cost)
which went just as well as the first with no pain or discomfort, this
time however I was left slightly short-sighted to allow it to drift back
to the optimum over the next few months.
It’s now 5 months on and my eyesight is now excellent although it has
taken 3 or 4 months to fully settle. I’ve never really got a satisfactory
answer as to why my sight drifted back so much after the first operation?
I’m also still waiting for a copy of the results which Nick promised to
send to me 3 months ago!
Over the last 6 months, I’ve been through the full range of highs and
the lows but I’m very happy with the final outcome and would still highly
recommend Accuvision. One piece of advice……If you’ve just had surgery,
don’t post your review for at least 3 months! That way people reading
these pages will get a truer picture of the long term results!
Good luck whatever you decide....Andy

It's now 1 week since I had wavefront LASIK, and i'm extremely pleased
with the result. Had the consultation on Monday and the operation on Tuesday,
no pain whatsoever. Vision was slightly hazy for two days, but has now
settled down. The 7 day check up went well, and my vision is now as good
as when I wore contact lenses, if not better! The staff were very friendly
and professional - recommended.

I have left it a year before writing this to ensure that everything is
as good as I first thought, I considered laser eye surgery for two years.
After researching my preferred choice was to use Accuvision. For convenience
Solihull seemed the better Clinic for me. My initial consultation was
with Nick Dash who put me totally at ease and assured me that they could
correct my short vision. The treatment was arranged for 22nd September
2005. Whilst travelling up to Solihull I felt I could have easily given
up and backed out, however I am glad I didn’t, the procedure itself lasted
about twenty minutes, although the laser treatment lasted only seconds
for each eye the rest of the time was getting me in the right position
and putting me a ease. It was completely painless and over before I knew
it, when I walked into the waiting room afterwards I could see quite clearly,
although I was advised to keep my eyes closed as much as possible.
I have never looked back, I don’t know how others get on but for me I
have had no problems and have been able to see clearly from that minute
on. This for me was a life changing experience I no longer need to wear
glasses for any area of my vision and now I have just had my final check
up (one year on) and have now been signed off. I would recommend this
procedure to anyone and would like to thank Nick for his pre and post
operative consultation and of course Brett Halliday and his team who performed
the surgery. I am a female of 50+ and was severely short sighted having
worn glasses or contact lenses since the age of nine what a transformation.
Thank you Accuvission.

It's now nearly three months since I had bilateral custom wavefront lasik
at Accuvision in Fulham and I thought I'd leave a few comments about the
experience.
First of all the consultation was really thorough and there was plenty
of time to ask questions (which were realistically answered - this is
surgery and no-one can guarantee the outcome - if they do I would see
someone else...). After the consultation I was given a list of upcoming
surgery dates and the cost of the operation - no salesmanship - just information
which was very much appreciated.
Having found out that I was suitable and that a good outcome was likely
(which confirmed what I had read on this site and others) I decided to
go ahead and booked the surgery the following week. My surgeon was Brett
Halliday and given the way things went I can strongly recommend him. The
most surprising thing was how quickly everything was over - I didn't experience
any discomfort during the operation - it's just surreal to watch the operation
unfold - in less than ten minutes I was in the waiting room, half an hour
later I had my post-operative checks and then I went to the hotel. At
this stage everything was looking a little milky but by the evening (after
a few hours with my eyes closed) my distance vision was good. The following
morning I went back for the check-up and was amazed how well I could see
as I walked back to the clinic - everything was very clear.
I ended up using the eye drops for the first couple of weeks and then
stopped as there was no more need. Maybe I was lucky (I certainly think
so), but I have not had any real problems - I see some halo's around lights
at night but it isn't that much of an issue and I hope it will continue
to get better - if not it is a small price to pay. My vision has gone
from around minus 5 in each eye to 0 and 0.25 (which is perfect from my
point of view) and I can comfortably read the 20/15 line on the eye chart
(1 line better than 20/20 vision).
So I am a very satisfied patient/customer, the staff were friendly, open
and professional, there was no hard sell and the proceedure has given
me the chance to live without glasses or contact lenses for the first
time in twenty years (the last fifteen of which I had worn soft contact
lenses. If you are thinking of having the surgery I would highly recommend
you go for a consultation at Accuvision - this seems to be the common
conclusion of the posters here.

I had laser surgery just over 2 years ago. I was persuaded to go by my
Dad and brother, who have both had it done also, but I was apprehensive
as I had just turned 21 and hate anything to do with eyes! The staff were
lovely, and were very patient and kind while I was worrying and very nervous.
Two years on and after a check up today, I can safely say it was the best
decision I made; my eye sight is 20/20 and it's great not having to wear
glasses anymore. The on-going support and friendliness of staff is wonderful.
I always feel very safe in their hands.
Anyone who is like me; nervous and scared - go for it as you wont regret
it.
Thanks Accuvision!

I had custom lasek treatment back in March. It was the best decision I
have ever made. I didn't have really bad eyes (prescription of -1 in both
eyes)but due to being a police officer this did affect me and I didn't
want to wear glasses. I tried contacts but couldn't even get them in my
eye! I was worried about the procedutre and went to umerous clinics for
advice. I eventually chose Accuvsion as I believed they would offer the
best possible treatment for a reasonable price. They were not the cheapest
but were not the most expensive. The procedure lasted a few minutes and
the next week was hard. However I now have 20;20 vision in both eyes and
my night vision has never been clearer. It is ammazing! I would strongly
recommend Accuvision to anybody. They are very friendly and professional
and have given me perfect eyesight again!!

and the way in which you are tested and checked is top rate. I can't thank
the clinic and its staff enough. My surgury was carried out on monday
the 18/9 and today i have 20/20 vision with slight dry eyes over night.
I have already recommended the clinic to my dad who is having his eyes
lasered next month. Overall impressions - 10 out of 10 in every way!

for the rest of my life and that due to my condition, no surgeon would
touch me. After another clinic had rejected my application for that same
reason, Accuvision was first to say yes without thinking twice. The clinic
in Fulham was great and the staff was very attentive, reassuring and extremely
professional. 0% interest free credit is also a great way to afford the
surgery and easy to set up, the follow up was second to none and I felt
very well taken care of.

I thought about this treatment for four years ... and finally decided
it was for me. The staff were amazing, the process amazing and the results
fabulous! Because I've worn contact lenses for so long, I often forget
I can now see without them - but then something will happen, such as getting
up in the middle of the night and not tripping over the lego!
Thank you to the staff for everything.

Without a doubt, this is the best money I have ever spent. I have gone
from being more short sighted than the average bat, to 20/20 vision in
about 15 minutes! The discomfort is minimal - no worse than a trip to
the dentist - and the results are AMAZING! Having worn glasses for nearly
forty years, I am going around looking at the world with a renewed wonder.
I cannot rave about this treatment enough to do it justice. Thank you

Just posting a quick comment to recommend Accuvision. I had a very positive
experience; a thorough consultation with friendly staff and no sales talk.
Decided to go ahead with the surgery with the result that three months
on I've gone from -5 in each eye to 0 and 0.25 on the machine and can
see one line better than 20/20 on the charts. It's great to not need glasses
after twenty years - if you are thinking about the surgery then you should
definitely go for a consultation at Accuvision.

I was persuaded to book a consultation by my sister after being denied
Lasik surgery 3 years ago. I was expecting to be told that i was not a
suitable candidate, but this was not the case. I had Wavefront Technology
to correct my -6.75 & -7.00 vision in May 2006 & have not had
to wear glasses or contact lenses since, for the first time in 27 years.
I am delighted with the results (my sight is now confirmed as 20/20).
I cannot recommend the AccuVision clinic/team enough for their professional
manner, expertise and care, I am so glad that I choose to book them and
couldn’t ask for any better service.

Just returned from my first holiday since having laser eye surgery at
Accuvision.
Spent one week in Tenerife, swam under water (with eyes open) travelled
on the plane with no contact lenses, no glasses and no hassle.
Its like reliving the excitement of the first moments of being able to
see. I had surgery in June and my eyes are now completely normal.
I did use the Celivisc drops once on the outbound flight, but not once
since, ABSOLUTELEY FANTASTIC.
Thanks again Accuvision!

I had bilateral Lasik surgery on, Monday,31/07/2006 at the London clinic
and I can only praise the highly professional manner and expertise I was
shown. The consultation with Mr Vik Patel was extremely thorough and caring
allaying any doubts or fears. The surgeon Mr Chad Rostron discussed in
detail the process again, leaving me in no doubt what to expect and during
surgery I received a supportive commentary. To an efficient aftercare
from reliable staff. If your enquiring re.laser eye surgery look no further,

I had my surgery on 31/07/06 at Accuvision in Fulham by Mr Chad Rostron.
I was very nervous but can honestly say that the proceedure was totally
pain free, I have had much more discomfort at the dentists. My prescription
was -2.25 in both eyes with slight astigmatism and I had worn glasses
or contacts for 26years. I had my six week check up yesterday and my vision
was just about 20/20 in my right eye and slightly better in my left eye.
I had a slightly dry right eye for the first two weeks but this has virtually
disappeared now and I am very pleased with my vision. Mr Rostron and his
team were very calm, kind and professional and I would not hesitate to
recommend them to anybody considering laser eye surgery.

I had surgery on 31st August at Solihull and the result has been excellent.
I didn't really believe that it would be painless but it was, and the
discomfort afterwards (less than 24 hours) easily tolerated with the help
of the eye drops. My vision was a little cloudy for a couple of days but
is now perfect.
I have no hesitation in recommending Accuvision. Very professional and

I can whole heartedly recommend ACCUVISION to anyone thinking about laser
eye surgery. My experience with them was friendly, painless, and successful
to the extent that after having to use corrective vision aids since the
age of 10 (I’m now 47), I am now free of contact lenses and glasses
for daily use such as TV and driving, (not reading).
I first interrogated the internet and found OPTICAL EXPRESS, advertising
£395.00 per eye, so I booked an appointment, they were very thorough
but when it came to prices they quoted me £1250.00 per eye as my
prescription included both short sightedness and a stigmatism in both
eyes. I was going to have it done, but when I went back for a second consultation
I was asked to sign a consent form, which would not have been a problem
if they hadn’t just applied drops to my eyes rendering my vision
blurred. I told them that I was going to take the form home to read, and
when I was ready to read it, I would sign it and arrange another appointment.
I went home, by which time my sight had returned, read the form, and phoned
up for another appointment. I was told that I would receive a phone call
to arrange one
I’m still waiting???. Anyway the moral to this
story is shop around as I did and found ACCUVISION. They only have two
premises they trade from, they are small and friendly. I used the FULHAM
premises, and although all the staff were very nice, I found JUNE, the
optician with her sweet Irish voice very reassuring and calming, and she
certainly knows her onions. The consultation was very thorough, and once
again the price far exceeded the advertised blurb. I moaned of course,
but it was explained in laymen’s terms that my prescription warranted
a particular type of laser treatment, which meant extra cost. In fairness
to both OPTICAL EXPRESS and ACCUVISION their blurb does state that the
cost will be according to prescription. The surgery was booked; I attended
on the arranged day, met the surgeon, signed the consent form, (before
drops were applied), laid down, watched a disco light show for about 5
minutes, and then was told to go home. My vision was immediately noticeably
better, even though my eyes were gritty and a little sore. I applied the
drops, wore the eye pads in bed, and the next day returned to FULHAM for
a check up, and the removal of the contact lens bandages. (Didn’t
even know I had them in), I was told that all was well and to return in
1 week which I did. All was well again, and I have since returned for
a six week check up. All was well with my vision, at least the same as
when I wore contact lenses if not better. I have found however that now
that I’m an old git, my reading still requires some form of corrective
vision, so I popped down to Tesco’s and bought some off the shelf
reading glasses for £5.00. Apparently reading is controlled by a
different part of the brain, and this can’t be corrected by laser
treatment. Anyway if you’re still with me after this long winded
testimony, I am happy to recommend a painless, quick and friendly service
from the ACCUVISION team
..Well done.
If anyone wishes to know the price I paid or has any other questions please

If you are thinking about getting this done - do not hesitate, it is fantastic.
I had the full custom wavefront Lasik at Accuvision in London, and now
have perfect vision in both eyes, better than 20:20.
The customer care at Accuvision was great, they really spend time going
through the procedure with you, and are not pushing you into getting it
done, they want you to make the best decision. They explained exactly
what they were measuring, what the procedure would entail, and what any
after effects might be. There was plenty of time to ask questions, and
I really felt I was given the information I needed to make my own decision.
I won't pretend that the procedure itself is fun, but it is remarkably
short, and I didn't feel any pain or discomfort whatsoever, and the surgeon
and nurses allowed plenty of time for me to get comfortable.
Within minutes, both eyes had been done, and after the 15 minutes of rest,
I could already see there was a marked improvement.
I stayed at a hotel in Earls Court, so I could have my check-up the next
day. My vision was a bit blurry all day, and I couldn't read or watch
TV. My hotel room was on the ninth floor, and when I woke up the next
morning, the view from the window was incredible - I could read a billboard
in Hammersmith! The horizon was crisp and clear, and I could see the individual
leaves on trees.
Honestly, do not hesitate, the anxiety of the procedure is nothing compared
to the fantastic results. Perfect vision, no more glasses or contacts.
Accuvision also went the extra mile, as I went travelling 6 weeks after
the procedure, and they arranged for me to have my check-up in Sydney
with a contact out there.
A huge thanks to Vik, who guided me through the preliminary assessments,
and check-ups, and to Daryus, who did a great job on my eyes, and who
put me in touch with Paul Hughes in Sydney.
You do an incredible job, and to anyone considering this - honestly, it's
a piece of cake, and worth every penny.
I did research clinics beforehand, and thought that Accuvision seemed
to have the best equipment and the best after-care, and I am really pleased
I used them, they were professional and caring, and didn't use the pushy
sales techniques you get from the more ubiquitous high-street clinics.
Thank you, Accuvision.

Having worn glasses or contacts for 26years I decided to research laser
eye surgery. I spent a lot of time on the internet and then went to Accuvision
in London after two friends recommended it. I was very impressed with
the initial consultation and competitive price. However I decided that
I needed to have a second opinion before I went ahead so I had a private
consultation at Moorfields. This consultation confirmed everything that
I had been told at Accuvision but the treatment would cost me three times
as much. I could see no reasons for paying so much more for the Moorfields
treatment and when I compared the cv's of the two surgeons, Chad Rostron
at Accuvison had more experience. So on the 31/07/06 I had the surgery
performed and found the whole experience very calm and professional. I
was extremely nervous and as a nurse a notoriously bad patient, however
I can honestly say that the surgery did not hurt at all and that Mr Rostron
and all his team were very kind and caring. I had my 6 week check up yesterday
and all is well, just about 20/20 in my right eye and slightly better
in my left. I had a little bit of dryness in the right eye during the
first two weeks but this has now virtually disappeared. I would not hesitate
in recommending Accuvision for your laser eye surgery.

the surgery a day and a half ago and my vision is better than with my
glasses - and they said it will only be at its best in a week or so. It
is a very strange, but wonderful, sensation to be able to see unaided.
The surgery took less than 5 mins in total and was completely painless.

Very highly recommended!! Solihull
I had been wearing glasses and contacts for 20 years.
My husband kept suggesting I look into laser eye surgery but I was too
nervous to even consider it.
I bit the bullet and made an appointment for a free consultation at Solihull.
I made my mind up there and then. The service was very professional, the
staff are friendly and the price was better than I had expected.
The whole experience was so much easier and not nearly as unpleasant as
I thought it would be.
I have just had my 12 month check-up and been discharged.
The surgery has changed my life, my sight is better now than I ever had
with lens’s and off course I’m financially better off each
month now that I don't pay for lens’s.
Everyone at Solihull are fantastic. I would recommend anyone thinking
of surgery to do it now and don't waste any more time...

You can trust your eyes with these guys.
I had surgery a week ago. I am so pleased with the way my eyes have responded
to the surgery. My one week check up went brilliantly. My expectations
were realistic and as such I have been very surprised by the outcome so
far. When I was researching monovision I couldn't find many references
to the initial effects of surgery. If you need to know I can tell you
that it was perfectly normal. My eyes felt like I had been peeling onions
most of night one but the drops really helped. 5 hours after surgery my
husband and I braved the hotel restaurant. Here I found out that I could
read the menu!! I found spelling mistakes too! The eye guards were very
elegant(not). I was so tired that I didn't even notice them. Next day
at check up I was safe to drive though actually I didn't for 4 days by
which time I was confident. Over the week my sight has fluctuated. Friday
wasn't good but I had very little slepp the night before. This I have
learned; you must rest your eyes and sleep is very important to healing.
The staff at the clinic were all fab. Mr Rostron made me feel very comfortable
and gave me all the help I needed to help me decide if monovision was
for me. Joan's hand was so reasuring during the surgery which was scary
but completely painless. Vik was excellent during the first consult giving
me choices another provider hadn't even
mentioned and it is very reassuring to see familiar faces at every visit.
This didn't happen when I went to the other provider. The difference is
these people care about their clients and that is why they have an excellent
reputation. If you are considering surgery go to these guys for the consult,
you won't want to go anywhere else.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU - *ACCUVISION (**Solihull** clinic)*!!
WOW-WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!! FANTASTIC!!!
My twin sister and I have had to wear glasses for reading and writing
since the age of 4, then pretty much all the time for the past 10 years
or so, and using contact lenses over the last few years. (We were 49 yesterday.)
I was becoming more and more dismayed at my inability to identify the
products in my bathroom or read cooking instructions on packets, labels
on clothes etc. without the aid of glasses or lenses, and so decided I
needed to do something about it.
I considered laser eye treatment and had enquired at several other clinics
before going for my consultation with Accuvision in Solihull. I was absolutely
delighted when they told me that I could be treated. (I was long-sighted,
+4.25 for my left eye and +2.25 for my right). I booked to have Lasik
Wavefront Laser eye surgery on 20 July 2006.
I felt nervous at first, however Nick and the Accuvision team were so
friendly, reassuring and professional, they put me totally at ease. They
explained every stage of the treatment to me during the procedure and
within 10 minutes I had had both eyes treated, absolutely pain free- unbelievable!
When I got home I could see the benefits immediately and raved to my twin
sister and family how I could read the ingredients on the back of the
Worcestershire sauce bottle! The following day I went for some “retail
therapy” and chuckled to myself as I walked around the clothes store,
now able to read the size and washing instruction labels on the garments,
unaided by glasses or contact lenses!
My twin sister has since had her eyes treated and is equally astounded
and amazed at the fantastic results!
I am now typing this on my computer unaided by glasses or lenses and can't
recommend Accuvision (Solihull) highly enough - their understanding, reassurance
and care, it really has been a life-changing experience! For anyone considering
treatment, and after a consultation are suitable for treatment, I'd say
don't waste another second, *get yourself booked in - you'll be so glad
you did!!*
THANK YOU AGAIN – *the ACCUVISION **TEAM**, **Solihull* clinic,
for changing my life!!
Forever grateful!

It’s exactly one year since I underwent laser eye surgery and I am delighted
with my decision - the results have far exceeded my expectations, and
I feel it’s the best money I have ever spent on myself!
The discomfort of the procedure was minimal, and I was fortunate to have

some of the common side effects such as dry eye. I feel less irritation

vision is better than ever.
The need to buy a new pair of glasses initially prompted me to go for
a consultation at a couple of clinics in order to get further advice and
information about the procedure. The research I subsequently undertook
quickly convinced me of the benefits, and I scheduled to have wavefront
treatment at Accuvision on the 3rd August 2005. The reason I chose this
clinic was because I was very impressed the professional experience and
expertise of the surgeons, as well as their use of the more advanced laser
equipment technology available on the market. The affordable cost and
convenience of the no interest payment plan offered was an added bonus.
My delay in posting these comments are no reflection of my level of satisfaction.
I am THRILLED with the freedom it has given me in my everyday life! It’s
great to see clearly without the aid of glasses or contact lense – it’s
like a miracle cure! I would definitely recommend anyone to consider this
procedure as an alternative option to vision correction.

In summary I would like to highly recommend AccuVision. 10/10 on all counts
in my opinion.
{long version}
My surgeon was Mr Chad Rostron and I was seen throughout the consultation,
surgery day and aftercare by Mr Patel. I have just got back from my 1
week post-op check-up and have had confirmed what I already thought –
my vision has been corrected to 6/6. The surgery was carried out smoothly,
seamlessly and very professionally. I can honestly say I felt no pain
whatsoever. My prescription was quite a simple one with a little astigmatism
in my right eye.
I had a consultation with a leading competitor who suggested that really
I should be opting for the Rolls-Royce treatment with intralase, zyoptics
and goodness knows what else at a price of £3,600. In my opinion there
was a good deal of pressure to book up there and then. This same company
was staffed with generally young people who at the time of my appointment
were larking around. The surgery was not dissimilar to your average rented
office space. I also had the experience of being shoved around to at least
three different people and had to have multiple re-tests which appeared
to be as a result of operator errors etc. The technology was pretty amazing
though – state of the art!
I then went to AccuVision in Solihull. What struck me immediately was
the fact that I walked in to a spotlessly clean, sterile clinic. There
was no mistaking the fact that this place did surgery seriously. I was
seen by a consultant who checked my eyes over and talked me through the
whole process – start to finish. I quizzed them about the lasers they
use and the differences in prices between companies and service. I genuinely
felt the company cared about you and was providing a good, honest and
quality service at a fair price. I opted to have the surgery done pretty
soon after the consultation and went to the London surgery, I have to
say I was a little anxious not just about the operation but also about
whether I would find a similar environment and staff. I was not disappointed
and I was pleased to see the familiar face of my consultant from the previous
week.
Conclusion:
I think that the more expensive companies maybe taking advantage of people’s
fears. What price would you put on your eyes and the success of a surgery?
At the end of the day though, I have normal vision after a surgery with
no pain – I fail to see what over £2,000 extra could possibly have given
me, especially given the issues I have suggested around customer service.

You can trust these guys. I am so pleased with every aspect of the treatment
I recieved.I was told so much more by Vik during the consult and I was
offered choices that I didn't even know wwere available. I opted for Monovision
and researched and discussed this thoroughly with Chad Rostron who made
me feel that he had all the time in the world to help me with my decision.
The proceedure was scary but totally painless though Joan, the nurse,
may have a sore hand from the strength of my grip. I really appreciated
this comforting hand. Immediately after, my sight was obviously different
but hard to tell in what way because my eyes were very watery. During
the evening my eyes were very sore and felt like I had been peeling onions
all day. The drops were very soothing and took care of this. Despite my
distressed appearance we ate at the hotel restaurant about 5 hours after
surgery. It was in the restaurant that I realised I could read small print
and found spelling errors in the menu!! I had been unable to find any
comment about what monovision would feel like, for those of you wondering
the same thing I can tell you that it is marvellous, I already see the
benefit, even yesterday at 24 hrs after the proceedure I had no difficulty
reading. Today I am more confident with distance and am confident enough
to drive (which I have been cleared for). I am aware of fluctuations in
my sight but so far no deterioration at all. If you are wondering what
to do I would say go for it BUT do it with Accuvision I almost did it
with another provider and but for a last minute hitch would never have
known about my true options or I am sure had such excellent care.

Hello. I had laser treatment at Accuvision yesterday (25th July) at 4pm..so
the experience is still very fresh. My prescription was left eye - 10,
right eye - 7.25, with an astigmatism of 165 in the left eye. As I was
travelling from Somerset, I booked the consultation and treatment for
the same day, and didn't know if I would be suitable or not for the procedure
until my appointment..
At the end of the consultation I was advised that because of my unusually
thin cornea (490), a 'perfect' outcome could not be achieved, and asked
if I was content to undergo the treatment with the understanding that
I would still need glasses or lenses for certain activivities. I had already
decided that I would want to proceed, and settle for a significant improvment
in vision, so I said yes. There was absolutely no pressure and in fact
alternative treatments were discussed openly.
A little over 24hrs later, my vision is remarkably improved, particularly
distance vision. Near vision is still rather filmy, but I'm typing this
with no problem. My consultant explained that the surgeon was able to
cut a very thin flap, so that there was more available tissue to laser,
and therefore a better outcome was likely.
I was extremely impressed with the staff at Accuvision - a combination
of professionalism, integrity and compassion. There was no hard sell at
all, and evidently a genuine concern for the patient's wellbeing is to
the fore..
The op itself was rather uncomfortable and a very strange 10 minutes,
but painless and over very quickly..
So far, so good..even at this very early stage I'm delighted with the
transformation in my vision..

I cannot praise the staff at Accuvision enough. This was one of the scariest
times of my life and they were superb - professional, caring, thorough.
I will be recommending them to anyone who wants to listen. Thanks also
to those people who went before me & offered support & advice.
Much appreciated.

The staff at ACCUVISION truely are miracle workers, I cannot recommend
them highly enough.
From the moment I arrived in the clinic, the customer care was excellent.
The prep work was conducted thoroughly and every single step was explained
clearly in plain English. (Great job Vik!)
For what must have been the most worrying moments of my life so far,
the surgery turned out to be a near to painless, 10 minute miracle!! (I'm
eternally greatful Mr Rostron)
Don't expect to be zapped and to be able to drive home right away but
within 24 hours, my slight itchyness had disappeared and I still can't
quite believe that I dont need contact lenses/glasses any more!!
Once again - THANK YOU ACCUVISION - Your company rates 20/20, as now
does my vision!!

Just thought I would give you a little update as to my previous opticians
response to my eyes. He said it is the best "job" he has seen
in many years, he checked the blood pressure in my eyes said it is completely
normal, I had an eye examination and he said that my vision was 6/6 which
is the british equavalent to the american 20/20, he said that I am a little
long sighted, but not even enough to put a prescription to, and he also
said that would probably correct itself. He also checked in the "contact
lens" room the cornea and said that he could not even see where the
flap had been cut. So all in all, absolutely fantastic, he said that the
headaches were most likely due to the brain adjustment and nothing else.
So he said he would like to see me in one year just to see if they have
improved any further. He asked me which clinic i went to and i told him,
he said that if any of his clients asked for a recommendation, that he
would recommend them, not bad ay!
